Just Gets Worse Every Day

Oil at new high, gasoline prices doubled, inflation staged to soar, food prices increasing. All this after medical costs up in the double digits, unemployment in double digits and the value of the dollar declines double digits.

Every day some new blow to a country in perpetual Depression, forever.

Kinda makes a guy want to say fuck it and take up shooting smack.

Bury Fukushima Is the New Plan

Fukushima is beyond any remediation now. They're going to bury it using equipment from a US plutonium processing plant. A 70 meter pump is a monster of a pump. Maybe it can put Godzilla down!

US Military Female Hijab

US female troops in Afghanistan wearing the hijab, so as not to offend civilians? I dunno, this photo doesn't look right to me. Too much hair showing, too much pretty faces and those M4s aren't slung right. The hijabs look a little too fashionable. Camo and a white hijab with blonde hair displayed? May as well hang a target on yourself. Shouldn't they be wearing helmets?

If this is real it's wrong and dangerous. That wouldn't be unusual in the Obama age military. After all, they're all just cannon fodder to the Kenyan. The only good white soldier to Obama is a dead white soldier.

Isolated, Uncontrolled Nuclear Chain Reactions at Fukushima

Reactor 1 seems to have a major failure that is resulting in isolated, uncontrolled nuclear chain reactions. Radiation levels are so high near the plant that workers won't survive efforts to secure pumps, power or facilities. Robots have been summoned from the US to investigate the wreckage of the plant. Some suggest that a concrete sarcophagus is the only chance of containing the mess at Fukushima now. It may be possible that a significant part of Japan will be uninhabitable, with sea and land irradiated forever.

Misery Index Hits New High

13% of US homes are vacant. Seems right. In my neighborhood, 13.5% of the houses have sat empty for two years. Housing prices are still falling despite the Fed attempts to halt asset deflation. QE3 is coming this summer but it won't change the demise of the US housing market. The incomes aren't there to buy homes for most people.

Buy a house...or gas and food? Tough decision.

Congress Considers Robbing and Killing Elderly Whites

This would be nice. Raise Medicare age to 67 in 2014? Well, that would ruin my retirement dream in 2016 and would make me want to find and strangle a congress critter.

The only reason a congress would pass this kind of legislation is either a) an attempt to financially destroy elderly middle class whites or b) outright kill elderly middle class whites early by denying medical care. Nothing is going to save the ponzi scheme that has been paying out to the lazy and stupid for the past 20 years through Medicaid.

I tell you what america, fuck you. I've been paying into this bullshit system for 42 years, and have another 5 years to pay into it. I don't care about anyone else, I want my goddamned payments as promised. Full social security and Medicare at age 66! Capisce?

Now get to work.

Bleed, Debt and Loss

The US has not won a war since 1945. Every war that the US has fought since 1945 has been as a coalition partner, principally of the UN. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan; it's all the same. Bleed, debt and loss. Libya may be different, just debt and loss.

What the hell is wrong with this country?

Civil Servants Need More

C'mon america, don't be mean to teachers, firefighters and BMV clerks. They're the ones that keep america going. And unions are what made the middle class possible. Leave the public employee unions alone and pay your civil servants.

That's the message I heard on the radio and read in the newspaper today.

The state and local governments are broke. But the civil servants don't care. They want their goddamned raises. If taxes have to be raised, so what? They're worth it. Just pay more for our "civil service".

The median household income for my state is $45k and the city is $35k. Teachers and firefighters make $82k. Every city and state worker makes more than $60k. So how are those making less supposed to come up with more for our civil servants?

Soros National Socialist Party Dreams

Nazi wannabe and his Brown Shirts can't tolerate free speech. Yep. George wants to silence any dissenting view. He learned a lot from his National Socialist friends while putting Jews in cattle cars for trips to concentration camps. George wants to gag conservatives with his billions of stolen dollars. He bought a Kenyan, why not buy some Brown Shirts to stifle free speech?

State of Bruigville

I went to Lowes early this morning for some drain cleaner. It was a beautiful yet chilly morning, the grass is greening nicely and I got a good look at the properties around Bruigville. The decline in income is showing as houses and yards are showing wear.

I decided to take a look at state and local income when I got home. Bruigville state is in the lowest 70% for median household income at $46,579. The city is lower than state median at $36,258, lower than Mississippi (which is the lowest in the US).

No wonder the properties here are falling into disarray, incomes have sunk. People are just trying to hang on to what they have, not repair or improve. Ten years ago, when jobs and incomes were better, properties all over the city were getting repairs and improvements. The city looked nice.

One in five children in the city live below the poverty level now. Many more would fall into poverty if grandparents weren't providing housing, food and clothing. I would venture a guess that almost half of the city's children live with grandparents now. And as economic conditions worsen in the city, grandparents struggle to survive. What happens when grandparents can no longer maintain their household?

Bruigville is mostly starting to look like a ghetto these days and I fear it will get worse as businesses close and incomes continue their decline.

Indians for Qaddafi?

WTF? Indians for Qaddafi? Seriously? Why? Great Spirit Father must have a bag over his head tonight.

Capitalism Has Run Amok

London, Cairo, Tripoli, Yemen or Madison, Wisconsin. It doesn't matter anymore. The wealthy have stolen all the resources and the poor want their payoffs. Neither side even cares about the other at all so the riots will spread around the globe. If you don't have a future then fuck-it, burn it all to the ground.

500,000 people turned out Saturday in London to protest budget cuts. The UK is broke and Moodys is considering a sovereign downgrade. It's impossible to borrow to pay off the poor when your credit rating goes south. The wealthy moved their money overseas to protect it, so it no longer benefits Crown subjects.

Like the UK, the US is broke, so the payoffs to the poor will come to an end. Poor people will be cold, hungry, sick and uneducated but they won't die from it until the middle class is reduced to their lot too. One day, in London, Athens, Cairo or Madison, the rioters will do their worst and cops won't show up. Why fight them when cops are taxed at 80%? Let it burn.

Capitalism won't work if local capitalists won't invest in the local economy to create jobs and wealth. If all of the capitalist's investments are in other places the locals will become poor and revolt, taking the capitalist's money. Who could blame them?

I can no longer argue for the rich or the system. It's utterly corrupt. Capitalism has run amok. Burn it down!

Obama Plans to Arm Al Qaeda in Libya

Goddamned Obama is planning to provide weapons to Al Qaeda in Libya! Why doesn't this asshole just go piss on the WTC site and shit on graves at Arlington? This administration is creating Islamist governments in MENA. Impeach this Kenyan now!

251 Weeks

My employer cut 10% of it's US workforce this week due to it's biggest customer's lack of sales. I got to stay but 38 employees were let go. The bosses said it was a layoff, and for some that may be true, but many of those let go will never be called back. A few had been with the company since it was formed a decade ago and were good workers. I couldn't even begin to understand why those folks were selected to be let go as their functions were still ongoing.

I've been working in manufacturing for 42 years for 5 different multinational companies. I've seen alot but will never understand why most decisions are made. Most upper management strikes me as idiot savants who won't listen to the advice that they pay for, only care about how they look and sow destruction with little regard for the consequences. Amongst management in general, only one in a hundred is competent. I can only recall two highly competent managers that I respected in my entire career!

God willing, and if I live that long, I intend to retire at age 66. That's 251 weeks from today! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It's not that I don't like working. The problem with working is the crass employers, stupid managers and often, antisocial workforce. Society has changed since I started working and so has the workplace. When I started working there was a bond between employer and employee, boss and employee and between employees. My grandfather and father worked for a single employer their entire life. It was almost like a marriage! Now employers get a hooker for an hour. In the past, when you knew you might work with people for decades, you might treat them with respect. Now employees treat each other like drivers on the interstate that they'll never see again. The more employers use the word "teamwork" the less it occurs.

Thirty years ago, I had a career. Now I have a job (at least for awhile). I'm told that I'm lucky to have a job and should be grateful. Ok. You're not smart enough to know how lucky you are to have me as an employee. At least for the next 251 weeks!

Fukushima Hell Part 14

NYT has the best map of the Fukushima evacuation zones available. Double click it for a larger view. Japan has been hurt badly and will suffer from the earthquake/tsunami/reactor complex destruction for a decade or more. More than 2 million people (2% of national population) will be displaced, half the population affected and maybe 5% of the japanese landmass made uninhabitable for some period of time

There may be a reactor breach at unit 3. All work has stopped at the complex as TEPCO tries to understand where the radioactivity is coming from. Meanwhile the evacuations and warnings grow more dire. As radiation spreads, Japan's economy begins shutting down as food can't be exported, manufactured goods become contaminated and people avoid Japan like a leper.

Nuke Fukushima and deal with the result.

Rats

Muslims. What a bunch of fucked up pieces of shit. Probably the stupidest creatures on the planet. More like rats than humans. Here they are on holy day engaged in absurd violence, just for the sake of violence. That is what Islam is all about after all.

Who are the "good guys" in Libya? Nobody. Because they're all muslims. NATO is on a fool's errand in Libya because there is no intelligence, civilization or humans in the country. Just a bunch of rats destroying whatever civilization foreigners built.

The evening of 9/11/01 I stated that, as President, I would have ordered a nuclear strike on Mecca. I would have used the dirtiest warhead in my arsenal. I would have addressed the world and stated that any further muslim violence against my country would result in the destruction of muslim population centers. I would have closed all mosques in the US, refused entry into the US by muslims and demanded all muslims take a public oath of loyalty to the US. Failure to do so would have resulted in instant deportation and forfeiture of assets.

Stupid Westerners thought that Islam could be reformed. It can't. It is a disease. Like alcoholism, the first step to healing the disease is to stop drinking. The first step of healing for muslims is to become former muslims.

Religion is codified culture. Islam is the culture of very barbaric people who live like rats. The culture must be destroyed for muslims to become human.

Any questions about where I stand?

Tax Ideas

Now the federal government wants to add a new mileage tax to pay for maintaining highways? Where are the current gasoline taxes going? Then mayors want toilet paper taxes to pay for sewage treatment facilities. What happened to the sewer fee that I pay every month (that is higher than the water rate that I pay)?

Is there any end to government's insatiable demand for more of everyone's money to spend? In 2009 the total federal, state and local governments spent $5.9T or 41% of US GDP. So 4 of every 10 dollars that change hands in the country in a year are touched by a government hand.

Fukushima Hell Part 13

Neutron beams shooting out of the rubble at Fukushima? This can't be good even though they're only 10-20 microsieverts at 1.5km. But then again they are useful tools, maybe better under laboratory control. But it turns out that physicians use 16-28 microsievert dosages to treat cancers, so maybe it's A-OK. But what's the exposure at 1.5m?

Hellspawn 2011

Is asking for a tornado or earthquake too much? Goddamned thief, NAZI enabler and american hater George Soros is at it again.. He and a few hundred bought and paid for friends are having a luxurious meeting in New Hampshire in April to discuss finishing off the american middle class, making China all-powerful and making George the Emperor of Hell. Too bad that demons from hell can't die.

Religion Thus Culture Dies

Religion will die out in nine countries according to the American Physical Society:

The team took census data stretching back as far as a century from countries in which the census queried religious affiliation: Australia, Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland.

If religion is codified culture, then there is no culture in these countries. Well, maybe nihilism.

Weimar World

Bend over. Oil hit $105 today on it's climb to $140/bbl. Yeah the article says the price rise is due to "international tensions". But it's due to the ever falling dollar, courtesy of the Fed's QE2 federal debt printing policy. International tensions are due to the collapse of the dollar which is causing a collapse in opportunity, increases in food prices and the deeper Depression soon to reveal itself.

MIT predicts 2011 inflation will be 8.3%. Yep. Inflation in the middle of a goddamned Depression. Pretty amazing stuff in the Weimar World.

This is the way I'll go.

Allied Coalition? Cracked?

The allied coalition cracked in less than 24 hours? What allies? The US doesn't have allies under Obama. Why should the US have allies? So it can occupy barbarian lands for decades, trying to turn cave men into republicans? Maybe the US is better off turning thousands of Holmes and Morlocks loose to kill and eat muslim mujaheddin.

These muslims, they're all civilians, don't you know. They sneak around hiding mohammed bombs with their wives and kids in tow. Then complain when soldiers kill them.

I'm sick of Western mindfucks. Either kill the sonofabitches until they beg you to stop or convert to goddamned Islam. Bomb their women and children and, again, when they complain, bomb some more. The real allies of WW2 bombed Germans and Japs into the Stone Age. It's good enough for muslims too. But dumbass americans and eurotrash won't, so don't complain to me when muslims convert you by sword, rape your women and sell your children into slavery.

So what's a kid going to become after fighting america's police action/nation building bullshit wars for a decade? An animal like the animals he's fighting? Maybe. The last time american boys fought for the american people was in 2001. Since then? It's all UN missions, with UN goals against....UN allies.

Fukushima Status 3/19/11

The following is the latest status of each nuclear reactor at Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s crippled Fukushima Dai-Ichi power plant.

No. 1: Workers are ready to restore power to the No. 1 and No. 2 reactors, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Tetsuro Fukuyama said on NHK Television today. The reactor was damaged on March 12 by a hydrogen explosion that destroyed the building walls. The reactor is rated level five in terms of threat on an international scale of 1-7.

No. 2: Engineers hope to use the power cable attached to the No. 2 reactor as a hub to restore electricity to the other five reactors, Tokyo Electric said. A March 15 explosion may have damaged the containment chamber. The reactor is rated a level five threat.

No. 3: Firefighters sprayed to control the reactor between 2 p.m. yesterday and 3:40 a.m. today, NHK reported. Similar actions March 18 managed to replenish water in the spent-fuel pool. Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said the radiation level has dropped near the reactor. The reading fell to 2,906 microsieverts per hour at 9 p.m. yesterday, down from 3,443 microsieverts per hour seven hours earlier, NHK said. A March 14 explosion damaged the unit’s fuel cover. The reactor is rated a level five threat.

No. 4: This reactor was undergoing maintenance when the March 11 quake struck. A fire broke out in the pond containing spent-fuel rods. The nuclear agency said March 17 there may be no water in the cooling pool. Japanese Self-Defense Forces sprayed water on the reactor this morning. Another dousing is expected in the afternoon, NHK said. Rated four in terms of threat.

No. 5: The temperature in the spent fuel pool fell to 37.1 degrees Celsius, as of 7 a.m., Kyodo News said. The temperature was 67.6 degrees 9 a.m. yesterday, Kyodo said. Temperatures should be kept below 25 degrees Celsius, according to IAEA guidelines. The unit was idle for maintenance before the earthquake.

No. 6: The temperature in the spent fuel pool fell to 41 degrees Celsius, as of 7 a.m., Kyodo News. A backup generator was fixed yesterday, according to a company press release. There’s no concern over water levels at the reactor and the company believes there hasn’t been any leakage of coolant in the unit’s containment vessel. The unit was idle for maintenance before the earthquake.

It don't mean nothing

The last few years I've tried to maintain my belief that the US was a special nation in the world despite evidence to the contrary. Now that I've been reduced to a less than middle class lifestyle and reviled by my government as a less than equal subject, I've lost all belief in america.

Two of my daughters went to college but are working retail jobs that pay slightly above minimum wage. One can never repay her college loans. The other received grants but still owes more than she can ever repay. A third is going to college for free because of her poverty but will never earn middle class wages. Many friends and acquaintances describe similar cases with their children.

America used to be a land of opportunity but that is gone. I ran numerous successful manufacturing processes for two different multinational corporations during my 30 year career but never, ever had a chance of realizing either the pay or advancement that my work should have earned. Some outsider always got the deal.

Now I'm working at my educational and experience level but being paid a full level lower. In this economy, businesses are taking full advantage of the surplus labor, paying 66% of BLS rates. And the HR bitch smiles across the table and says you should be grateful for the opportunity.

The government says we all need more education to make us and the economy better. Then why are my daughters working retail for minimum wage? If us old guys are so uneducated, why am I the installer of new technology equipment and manufacturing engineering IT support? Shouldn't the young recent college graduates be doing that work? Someone is lying.

I was a community association president, PTA volunteer, 4H volunteer and community volunteer for 20 years. I can't get a city official, party leader or school board member to even listen to me for 5 minutes. But they'll tell me how it's going to be whether I like it or not. Republic or tyranny?

I see the same situation everywhere I look. It doesn't pay to work hard, look out for the company, help the community or even care at all in 21st century america. Just eat the shit pie and pay up.

I was talking with an older engineer that I work with Friday. We're making the same salary, have the same responsibilities, have the same lifetime career track and basically have the same outlooks. It's just a job anymore, not a career. Watching the young engineers work 12 hour days, bust their ass and act like they have a career is sad. They will build processes that will eventually get moved overseas and they won't see a dime for their work. Down the road, they'll be set on the curb like a sack of garbage just like me, with even less to show for it. No pension, no medical, no social security and no watch.

The soldiers returning from Vietnam used to say "It don't mean nothing"! Well, that applies to everything about america anymore. I can't stand the sight of an american flag these days. It makes me nauseous. The only respect I have for the flag is as a historical symbol of what was and the people that made it something honorable. Now it is a symbol of lies, theft and dishonor.

There is no difference between the US and Libya, except Qaddafi uses bullets to destroy his people, the american elites use lies to do their dirty work. My dad used to say that the real USMC motto was "I got mine, how you doing"? Well, that's america's motto in the 21st century.

The elites are going to have an ever harder time keeping this ponzi scheme running as millions of us guys treat everything we do as "just a job". Atlas is shrugging. And as the country gets poorer and poorer, democrats are going to take the elite's wealth in taxes. I don't care anymore, take it all. It don't mean nothing to me.

France Gets Wood

French military jets over Libya? I'm sorry, but this just makes me giggle. I'm sure the French have some decent soldiers, but as a whole, the French military has to be as effective as a Cub Scout troop. NATO? About the same under current Western rules of engagement (ROE). Mostly just targets for goat herders with rifles and IEDs.

In fact, I'd suggest that even having a military in the US under current ROE is an utter waste of resources. Only China, Russia and North Korea have militaries that fight wars. Everybody else has cops with very expensive toys that are rarely, if ever, used.

As soon as a French aircraft shoots down a Libyan aircraft and it crashes on civilians, every Libyan will call it a war crime then demand compensation. It's a no-win situation that costs Western governments billions of dollars that they no longer have. And setting up a consensual government amongst cave men? Forgetaboutit.

Oh well, this mission will give Frogs something to chat about over wine and cheese before smelly sex.

Democrats are perpetual children

Over the years I've observed that all Democrats are perpetual children. They want government to be their mom and dad forever, to take care of them, make decisions for them and love them no matter how irresponsible, stupid or badly they behave.

Why in the hell would the US government get involved in bullying at school? That is ridiculous! Is the US government going to start charging children with federal offenses for bullying? This is even more absurd considering the US DOJ will not enforce voting rights laws after Black Panthers stood outside a polling place in 2008 with clubs. Isn't THAT bullying?

When democrats run government they treat citizens like children AND favor some children over others. The bad children get rights while the children who behave get treated like red-headed step-children. I'm sick and tired of supporting democrat/children while they tell me, in detail, how I should live my life. Grow up democrats.

Americans Bled Out

USA Today reports that unemployment is rising in most metropolitan areas even as the government reports that unemployment in February declined to 8.9%. Other non-government organizations report the same tendency. Who do you believe?

Food stamp usage continues to rise which suggests that government unemployment numbers are under reported. This suggests that unemployment remains high and many of those who find work aren't working full time or are making considerably less than they were before. The economy is stalled in Depression.

The government unemployment numbers are similar to government inflation data that shows little or no increase. The CPI suggests annual inflation is 2.4% while CCPI rate is 6%. Any trip to the gas station or grocery store confirms the higher inflation rate. The US government consistently lies to the public.

Making matters worse, the Federal Reserve's QE3 money printing is making your money worth less. The dollar has lost 11% of it's value under QE2. That makes the stock market gains in 2011 a loss even before the Japan crisis of last week. Americans are being bled out.

So after 4 years of Depression the economy is stalled, the US is in a terminal state of debt and the government is lying about everything. There is a crisis of faith and trust in the US. Only some restoration of these pillars will begin a restoration of the economy. I don't see that happening.

Fukushima Hell Part 10

TEPCO admitted their reactors are emitting deadly radiation and they are almost out of options. Two reactors probably have melted cores and the #4 reactor storage pond probably has a hole in the wall. They don't know because they can't get close enough to inspect the damage.

There is talk of burying the place like Chernobyl but doing this on the seaside in an earthquake zone poses problems. I still think the Japs should let us nuke the site. That would burn up the nuclear material and pose less radiation after the initial strike.

The Japanese people have not been served well by their leadership. This disaster will not end well for the Japanese people nor the world.

What US Leadership?

After Obama picked his NCAA brackets for the office pool, he walked out the door for his Rio vacation and shouted out "Take out Qaddafi". Then he was gone. The Joint Chiefs asked "Somebody tell me where this ends"? No one answered.

So...what is the US role in the Libyan no fly zone? The thing is, Obama is all about making vague statements and spending money. He never does anything but talk. He inspires no one but idiots. So I expect money to be spent while events on the ground in Libya to carry on.

The US  doesn't have any business intervening in Libya, Bahrain, Yemen or elsewhere in MENA. Let the muslims sort their shitholes out. If they kill 1% or 99% of their subjects, I don't care. Let them cull their herds.

Nuclear Reactions and Clowns

Laughing Wolf at Blackfive probably has the most accurate and helpful discussion on the Fukushima event.

The UN is going to bomb Libya? British and French, as well as five Arab air forces enforcing a no-fly zone? ROFLMAO. Will Obama lose his Nobel Peace prize after calling for war on Libya? Western governments are run by fucking immoral clowns bought and paid for by global elites. Crack whores are more honest and reliable.

I'm re-living the years of the Carter presidency and democrat congress. Stagflation, malaise and american collapse. Except this time, there is no Reagan on the horizon. And I'm 60 years old. When I was 30 I could adapt and evolve. Hope was possible. This time I don't have ten years to rebuild. Plus, my parents generation is dead and gone. Now I'm living with fucking idiots, incompetents, whores and criminals immersed in a nigga culture. Where's my cardigan sweater?

St Paddy's Day Massacre

The dollar is taking a beating against the yen and the DOW has lost all it's gains for 2011, losing 4% since the quake, tsunami and nuclear plant crisis in Japan. You would think the events occurred in the US based upon market behavior.

The Nikkei market opened down 4%. Expect the carnage to move east to NY in the morning.

Today I received notices from electronic part suppliers that said they were facing shortages and would do everything they could to get parts. Trouble is already brewing in the global supply chain. Think inflation and recession.

Obama has been invisible and will run away to Rio to vacation next weekend. Congress extended the budget as the US debt went to$14.3T.US debt climbed $72B today.

Gaddafi wins in Libya while the EU, UN and US dithers over a response. Saudi troops move into Bahrain and protesters die as Iran declares the move an "act of war". The US wasn't even notified. Why bother? The US is irrelevant in the world these days.

The Saudi Day of Rage is Sunday. There could be a revolution in KSA next week.

The Japanese are dumping water on Reactor 3 while prepping spray the Reactor 4 storage pool with water cannons. 50 dead men are working the site, occasionally bathed in gamma radiation. No one really knows the condition of reactors, cores, containment or storage pools. There is a slight chance that Reactor storage 4 could go critical from neutrons when water is reintroduced. Who knows anymore?

Fast neutrons are interesting. They are the stuff of fission bombs, making them go boom AND they split atoms of anything that they contact. You don't want them flying around at all.

At some point it makes sense to drop a nuke on the Fukushima site to end the problem.

Everything I've read suggests the US heartland won't see any cesium, iodine or other radiation products of any significant density no matter what. The real danger seems to be if this conflagration goes on for a decade or so

All my blog hits are "Obama Gun Ban" or "Real Lara Logan Story". I guess those are the important things these days.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Spaced Out

Cocaine found at Kennedy Space Center again? No surprise there. Global warming nutcase and communist James Hansen probably dropped in and dropped his blow. Why the concern anyway? The US manned space program is dead, dead and dead. Maybe NASA can lease it to the Chinese.

12/21/12

I'm starting to lean towards the idea that the predicted end of the "world" may come in 2012. At least the world I grew up with. The unfolding multi-faced horrors in Japan, war in MENA, the ongoing global economic crisis, etc all seem to be leading to some apocalyptic end for mankind.

I'm even seeing civilizational suicidal behaviors at work, where no real communication or cooperation exists and individuals are attempting to destroy others for no apparent reason. This behavior extends up into families, communities and even nations almost universally. Politics, Charlie Sheen, the list goes on and on.

Japan Hell

Global recession due to Japan shutdown? Is this the second black swan after the MENA riots?

Are the storage ponds the real danger? If they catch fire then radioactive particles get lifted into the atmosphere.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Shame

Why no looting in Japan? Because the Japanese believe in shame.

Fukushima Hell Part 9

Well, they're losing control of cooling and one core is in some form meltdown while the other two are in and out of the melting/cooling cycle. If we get a full meltdown and the core burns through the reactor and containment then into the ground the nuclear nightmare begins. With winds shifting to the southwest, Tokyo is at risk.

Is the US at risk? If the radiation is ejected to 30,000 feet, into the jet stream, we will get some radiation. The dosage will be low but if the dosage is continuous for days, weeks, months it is problematic, especially for breeders and children.

Gamma radiation is 30x normal, suggesting that one or more cores is exposed to the atmosphere. Perhaps the shit has already hit the fan.

Fukushima Hell Part 8

Smoke from new hydrogen explosion in reactor 3 and a 10 foot tsunami headed for the northeast coast.

UPDATE: The tsunami alert was a false alert. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

Palestinians are Evil

Gazans handed out candy at the slaughter of a Jewish family. Mujaheddin slashed a three month old baby settler's throat and stabbed a 4 year old girl in the heart. Brave fucking muslims, warriors of mohammed and followers of Satan a.k.a. allah (the blood of innocent children be upon him).

Fukushima Hell Part 7

More reactors having cooling problems, a volcano erupts but radiation won't travel to the US...according to the US government. Others disagree. Seismologists say a "monstrous aftershock" could happen soon, as they are typical.

Community Organizer Obama held a party for reporters Saturday and golfed Sunday. World's on fire? People suffering and dying? Niggas gotta party.

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Fukushima Hell Part 6

The Japanese Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency has said that a meltdown occurred causing the explosion earlier today. TEPCO says the explosion was the result of the containment being vented, as vented hydrogen reacted with air when released.

If the meltdown is contained in the reactor core it is a mess forever but not dangerous to the public in itself. But if the meltdown breaches the reactor vessel and containment dome then we have a public problem...for a decade or so.

I can understand that facts are hard to come by in the crisis. I also understand that the government doesn't want to further erode public morale or cause a panic. But the facts must be found and communicated to the public. The sooner the better.

Meanwhile...
Kyodo News reports: BREAKING NEWS: Top of MOX fuel rods 3 meters above water at Fukushima plant: TEPCO

The top photo is a MOX fuel rod assembly and the bottom photo is completed fuel rod assemblies in storage. Under water and shutdown.

Nine feet of exposed MOX fuel rods is NOT GOOD!

Fukushima Hell Part 5

Sunday morning in Japan and another reactor has lost cooling at Fukushima. The good news is that the fuel hasn't melted through the bottom of any of the reactor vessels.

Fukushima Hell Part 4

The events at the Fukushima complex just get stranger and stranger. The government says an outer building exploded and that the containment and reactor were not damaged. But they also confirmed a partial core meltdown and radioactive materials detected outside the building. Additionally, the company reported that their plan to flood the reactor with seawater would ruin the unit. So they must be desperate to destroy a multibillion yen investment.

Flooding the reactor will take days so this event will linger well into next week or beyond. Like the disaster at the Macondo Prospect last summer, we may never know the truth.

Hmmmm

The most recent data reveals that the US is responsible for 25% of the global gross domestic product of $60T. So...4% of the global population accounts for 25% of global economic activity. Think about that over your drink tonight.

Oh My

Sleeping with a pet can be unhealthy? How about sleeping with the slut you pick up at a bar...or at school? At least Fido provides stress relief, love and fidelity. Boppin the local girls might get you the cooties and damages ranging from mental abuse to assault to stalking to financial ruin. What is the number cast about last year? Half of american girls have STDs by age 17?

Get a pet and sleep with it.

Planet vs. Man

Japan moved 8 feet and the earth's axis shifted 4 inches because of the quake/tsunami. But humanity's future may be imperiled by the unfolding nuclear power plant disaster. If humans abandon nuclear power there may not be a future.

Fukushima Hell Part 3

Well, it's getting worse. All 5 Fukushima reactors are having cooling problems and the government is handing out iodine to help protect the bodies of people near the plants. Caesium has been detected, so we have a reactor vessel breach.

The photo shows Sendai, near Fukushima, before and after the  earthquake. No wonder they're having problems!

Fukushima Hell Part 2

Ok, I'm not a nuclear power expert but here's what I have discovered about the Fukushima problem reactor. The light water reactor is incapable of a fiery explosion like Chernobyl but is capable of releasing radioactive material. The core has overheated, is probably in meltdown and all of the emergency cooling systems have failed.

The containment building was destroyed by a hydrogen leak which exploded on contact with air. TEPCO believes the reactor vessel is intact and is now planning to flood the reactor vessel with seawater to cool the core. If the reactor vessel fails during core meltdown there will be an atmospheric release of radioactive material.

The plant was struck by a 6.0 aftershock. That isn't helping the situation, which seems to be spiraling out of control. Officials are trying to calm the public but I'm unconvinced at their reassurances. The bottom line is, like the earthquake and tsunami, there is not one thing that us humans can do to mitigate a radiation release. The truth would only cause more despair and panic.

Fukushima is located at latitude 38.8N which means the jet stream will dump a continuous, low level dose of radiation over the central US if the core is exposed. Americans won't be dropping dead but the radiation will accumulate and could have negative affects on young adults and children.

Pray for successful seawater cooling. It's all they got now.

Fukushima Hell

Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, floods, war, civil unrest....and perhaps even a triple nuclear reactor core meltdown. If the planet had a population of 1 billion humans, or even 3 billion, disasters might not be such a threat to humanity. Oh they're apocalyptic to those who endure them but not to all of humanity.

The Fukushima nuclear complex is in real trouble and could experience a core meltdown within the next 24 hours. The earthquake and tsunami damaged the site's electrical power, shutting down cooling of reactor cooling water and the containment building(s) air cooling system. Making matters worse, a radioactive material leak was reported late today.

So things go bad, then the center collapses....as the sage says.

If Fukushima reactor cores melt down and containment is breached the US will be downwind of radioactive material. Oh the levels will be low. But sustained exposure over days, weeks, months will take their toll on american children.

Will the US government provide helpful guidance? Who knows? Under Obama they are as incompetent as they can possible be at everything else. And they lie like Satan.

If all hell breaks loose, you might want to limit your kids exposure to the outdoors until this sorts itself out.

Do you think God is happy with humankind right now?

Larger Than Life

Not many stories move me in this age of chaos and madness. But the story of Liam and Theo both inspires and saddens me deeply.

Theo the dog was a hero, finding more bombs in Afghanistan than any other war dog ever in the British army. So many, in fact, that he and his handler Liam were held over for another month. Then a Taliban sniper shot and killed Liam. Theo died after returning to the base, of a stress related seizure.

Such a bond of a man and his dog, a band of brothers by any standard. Warriors! But more, friends, companions, family. Theo was great at his job because he loved Liam. He craved Liam's approval. And Liam clearly motivated his companion Theo. That look between those two True Knights of the Realm says it all.

But losing Liam was more than Theo could take. He died when his beloved partner Liam died.

Thank you LT...and Theo. God bless you both, and keep you in His hand. You are both my heroes.

US Gone Nuts

35% of wages and salaries in the US are government handouts!

Why do I get up every morning at 0430 hrs and drive 44 miles to work for 9 hours then drive home again in the evening? And pay taxes for the pleasure? Shouldn't I be able to stay home after working 42 years and let somebody else pay for my housing, food and other stuff?

If I'm lucky enough to live 6 more years and there's any money (or economy) left in this country, I'll retire and take my government handout that I've paid into for the previous 48 years. That's a big if the way things are going.

But the Marxist US Senate, state legislators and unions won't allow any spending cuts and Obama wants to spend more money. Like porch monkeys they're going to spend and borrow every penny in sight then steal from everybody else until it's all gone. Then riot.

Unions are protesting proposed modest budget cuts at the statehouses of Wisconsin, Indiana and now Michigan. Wisconsin and Indiana democrat legislators have fled to Illinois as both states hemorrhage money. Governors will have to use executive powers to fire state workers then deprive counties, cities and school districts of funds as budgets fail.

God help us cause we gone nuts.

Black Watch

David Cameron wants to send the former 42nd Highland Black Watch to Libya to help evacuate refugees. At one time in history this news might have terrified the natives and made them piss themselves and run into the desert. Now, not so much. Perhaps those refugees are eight British SAS captured by Libyan rebels. The new 3rd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, the BlackWatch, is not the force it once was.

Former SAS commander Clive Fairweather told the Sunday Herald yesterday that long-term cuts in defence spending mean the UK is now powerless to intervene militarily in the region. “We’d be lucky if we could occupy a football stadium in Libya. There is nothing we could do. The only people in town who could do something about Libya are the Americans,” he said.

The UK is finished as a military power and therefore, as a major global player. The soldiers may still be the same but the people of the UK have changed. The British don't have the resources to deal with any aspect of the now, Libyan Civil War. And the US doesn't have the interest. Obama and the US are golfing as Libya destroys itself and gives the global elites an opportunity to raise oil prices to consolidate global power.

Rent Seeking System

As the world approaches the next dip in the Depression I've been pondering my economic life. I've arrived at the conclusion that I really don't own much of anything. So what have I got to lose?

The biggest icon of the american dream has been home ownership. It was considered a statement of your arrival as a successful american adult. It held and represented your wealth and was liquid in the event of trouble. But is that still true? Do you really possess wealth by owning a home? Since the Depression began in 2007 the value of a home is indeterminable. Basically you are paying rent to a bank, the government and insurance company for a place to live.

Automobiles have also been an icon of american society that demonstrates if you are a winner or loser. They never have held value as well as a home but they were good liquid wealth. But most people are basically renting their automobile from the bank, government and insurance company just like their home.

Insurance and investments are rented hope that you can survive trouble. Banks, government and insurance companies will allow you to rent some hope so long as you can pay. There is no guarantee that hope will come but you can hope for hope so long as you pay the rent. Even churches seek insurance rents for hope through tithing.

Entertainment and communications are rented monthly through telecable, satellite and telephone companies. We pay enormous fees to know what's going on in the world, amusement and to keep in touch with people. Government also benefits from taxing these rents and controlling the goings-on of communication.

What do we buy and own, at least for a while? Fuel and food., some clothing and furnishings, and maybe a few trifles for hobbies and amusement. Mostly their value is fleeting or nothing once we take them into possession. In times of trouble their liquid value is zero to banks, government, insurance companies and our fellow renters.

So we rent our lives, so long as we can pay. Once we can't work and pay, our rented lives revert to owner. Who are these rent seeking owners? Banks, governments and insurance companies. In fact they are the same owner, a System where all three entities work together to set up rented lives for everyone...for a fee.

Who is free of the rent system? Only the homeless.

An ancient Irish proverb states that "a man starts out wanting to own a few things and they end up owning him. Tis better to own just a few precious things that you can carry yourself rather than many things that you continuously have to protect"....from the rent seeking System.

Gas Price and Chaos Calculator

Where are gasoline prices headed? Late last year various pundits predicted that we'd see $100/bbl oil early in 2011 and $140/bbl oil by mid-year. It looks like their predictions were correct. Gasoline prices are non-linear but I took a stab at predicting gasoline prices as a function of WTI oil prices. The results matched summer 2008 prices pretty well. So I think the extrapolation is a good first approximation.

If the pundits are correct we'll be paying $5 per gallon this summer. That's a 100% increase in fuel costs that will reduce everyone's disposal income, increase prices for everything and probably tank the economy. It helped drive the economy off the cliff in September 2008 and will probably do the same this year.

The question is, do events drive oil prices or does oil price drive events? Are north african and middle east revolutions driving up oil prices or has the declining value of the dollar pushed up the cost of oil? If pundits predicted the oil price increase before the revolutions then this fact suggests the revolutions are not the cause. In fact, the revolutions may be an effect of Bernanke printing down US debt.

If the revolutions are an effect of high prices and lack of opportunity due to policies of the Federal Reserve and other central banks, what is going to happen as we spin deeper into the abyss? We are witnessing political unrest in Wisconsin as the state government attempts to deal with the Depression. Will we see revolution here next as prices escalate and opportunity declines?

The eroding value of the dollar is a huge, backdoor tax that is strangling everyone and threatens global chaos.

Lara Logan Real Story

The facts are out on the "sexual assault" of Lara Logan while covering the Egyptian revolution. It seems that Lara was stripped, punched, slapped and pinched for about a half hour. Oh, and smacked with sign posts carried by revelers. It sounds like an evening at Mardi Gras.

No woman should endure such treatment but then again, no woman should put herself in a position of peril. I hope this woman recovers and has a good life with her husband and children. And learns from this event.

CBS used Lara by sending her on a dangerous assignment and then used her again by reporting her "sexual assault". Lara could have refused the assignment but that probably would have ended her rise at CBS. The network took a mob humiliation and changed it to a sexual assault to boost traffic...and ratings. That's pretty disgusting abuse of a woman.

Dinosaur Musings

I'm a dinosaur and the asteroid is on my event horizon. My extinction is a known fact. All I want to do is pass on what I have learned to the mammals that will carry on after I'm gone. But they won't listen. And they crap all over my lunch or just tear it up for amusement. I can't even enjoy my coming end with some sense of normalcy.

I've witnessed this my entire life. Guys leaving the workforce, just wanting to pass on what they've learned, but just shown the door. Time to go. But, can I teach someone? No, that's not necessary. We're going a different direction after you go. Are you saying my entire life's work, all that I learned has no value? Not really, everything has changed.

So we go home and stew in that bitter juice until we get sick and die. Silently because nobody wants to hear about the "good old days". Fucking stupid, primitive old asshole.

I've experienced two job losses where I've just been told to go and I'm working on a third. No one wants to know what I've learned in 42 years of working or living. It's ancient history. Cave men stuff really. No modern, college critical thinking skills or progressive thought. Retro, KKK cave man stuff. Just die Hitler, we'll run everything using tweet and text messages.

They say blogging is dead. I believe it because most blogs are read as much as mine, which lately is not at all. Probably too much bad news which comes across as angst, cynicism, etc. But I just stumble through the days, teaching and blogging and being the cynical old dinosaur that I've become. And make smart ass comments to the poor mammals that will inherit this burnt up planet.

They'll be fucking their fat half sisters and eating their children soon. Without the centuries of accumulated learning passed down by us dinosaurs, who could've thunk they could make mistakes. Nobody tweeted it! After all, africans, arabs and native americans could've created great civilizations if white Hitler cave men hadn't been mean to them. Mixing ball bouncing gangsta blood, beheading woman enslaving blood and heart plucking blood with our blood is a great idea! Who needs a family when you have a tribe...or gang?

But I'm just an observer now, not a teacher. I'll pass my learnings on as I rocket into infinity. I'll take one last look back at my dinosaur carcass, consider those I've left behind then move on to my ever-life in Gwynvyd. Experience reveals that Gwynvyd wants to know what I learned. I tried to do my duty. But the mammals weren't interested. Well....good luck. Now, quit crapping on that leaf. I'm hungry.

Slouching This Way

The world is just turning into a complete madhouse. It's hard for me to even know where to begin. What is "normal" behavior for a person, family, community, company, nation or humanity? The rulebook seems to have been thrown out the door. Lately I've wondered if I have died and gone to purgatory, or even hell. I don't recognize the world I grew up and lived in.

The federal government and media continued the lies that the economy is improving and unemployment is down. Inflation is running 5-7% with oil prices up 18% this year, food prices are up 3-5% and will go higher with oil prices. State governments are in trouble and are desperately looking for cuts to their budgets. U6 Un/underemployment is over 20% and rising while 2 million plus workers have dropped out of the workforce.

The state's fiscal crisis in Wisconsin and Indiana is creating a crisis in the democratic process that threatens to turn a political  crisis into class war that in turn could lead to civil war. The democrat/union faction wants to maintain the status quo even though the system is bankrupt. They claim to fight for the middle class when, in fact, they only want to set their members up as an entitled class in a sea of poverty. This will not end well.

World order has collapsed as the US has repudiated it's role as a superpower. The US has no influence on global events so chaos has risen and threatens to overwhelm order everywhere. From Somali piracy to Mexican drug cartels to Islamic conquest, forces are moving into the vacuum created by US withdrawal.

I've lost all confidence in america and it's institutions as have most of the folks that I know. I don't believe that there is anything left to salvage and at this point, total collapse and cleansing is the only hope. Political reconciliation is impossible as all trust has evaporated.

Some black swan is slouching this way; Saudi revolution, end of QE2, a terror event, famine. Something is coming and it will introduce utter chaos.

Don't You Want to Stay

Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson and III Kings are just awesome in this live performance. Kurt Allison, Tully Kennedy and Rich Redmond drive the rhythm hard yet with finesse. Very talented young men!
The energy and percussion of Tully and Rich is some of the tightest and most intense I've ever heard. Enjoy!
