Samhuin

These days of forgetfulness, the modern world forgets the ancient meaning of Samhuin. The death of the natural world, the honoring of the ancestors, the finishing of old business and the beginning of the new. Hearth fires were extinquished while great bonfires were lit by druids to light the spirits way back to this world. A brand from the fires was taken home to renew the hearth fire for the year.

Wiccans and hippies have hijacked Samhuin while corporations have twisted the day into a just another consumer holiday. But those of us who know the meaning of the day will welcome the ancestors, end business, start business and keep the Modb barricaded in her cave for yet another year.

Few children come by the bruig for treats these days. The old neighborhood is barren of children and most parents take their children to the McMansionhoods where the treats are big and rich. Since I can't burn outside, I'll have a small fire indoors to celebrate the chilly evening.

Estate Tax

Hmmm. Go off dialysis and die in 2010 or wait until next later and give most of my estate, my lifetime's work, to the federal government who, in turn, hands it over to an illegal immigrant, bankster, welfare crack ho or some white slut that doesn't know how to keep her pants on during a date or get and use birth control. That's a hard one.

The Narrative of Our Times

I was reading last night and the author mentioned the narrative, which caught my attention. There is a narrative in the world and america in our time and I have been thinking about it. In the future many historians will write about this age, if we survive as a species with a civilization.

The global narrative seems to be that we are destroying the planet's ecosystem thus need to be restrained by wise Preists of Gaia. These priests would have most of us live simple agragarian livestyles, using little power and recycling everything. Ideally we would leave no footprint on Gaia, including no children to further damage the Earth Goddess.

This narrative leads to the second narrative which is that Western civilization has unjustly caused all of the problems seen today on Gaia, thus must be super-restrained or perhaps even dismantled. All other cultures must be raised up, therefore must be provided indulgences for their sins against Gaia and humanity.

These two narratives drive everything in this age, thus humanity has arrived at a new culture with a new religion of Green. I say this because religion is nothing more than the codex of a culture. Historically, new dominant cultures overwrite older cultures with their own religion. We see this being accomplished as old religions adopt Green symbols to gain status in the new culture.

The West need not be restrained by external forces, it is driving the Green religion internally, dismantling itself for it's sins against Gaia and humanity. The West has exported it's wealth building capabilities to those it has exploited in the past and is giving both it's power and lands over to more deserving, noble people of color. Individual Western whites, having accepted their sins against Gaia and people of color, have reduced childbearing to below replacement rates thus guaranteeing future extinction.

We see and hear these narratives every day. These narratives have been taught in schools for at least a generation and more potent versions are being taught today. The media frames every story within these narratives. Every government pursues policies based on these narratives. Most individuals even assess their own worth and place in society based upon the narratives.

No wonder white americans are mentally and economically depressed. We have exploited Gaia and the rest of humanity thus deserve our present fate. There isn't a future, or even a place, for a consumer based society that consumes 40% of global GDP while exploiting, even making war on, people of color around the world. The trial has been held and the sentence imposed. The West, particularly america, must die. The Priests of Gaia are carrying out the sentence.

Western elites have adopted this new culture and having embraced the Priests of Gaia believe that they will receive indulgences and rise above the sentence. But for the average Westerner the sentence will be carried out without sympathy or remorse. Western civilization has been utterly repudiated by the world.

Thus we should accept mass casualty attacks, terror of beheadings and crime, open borders, economic plunder, loss of God given rights (by the Wrong god) and relegation to the lowest class of humans on Gaia. Our own president has said we have to sit in the back as the Priests of Gaia call us Know Nothings and worse.

The narrative of our times will read that the West, and white america in particular, lost it's sense of identity and will to survive, when it adopted the narrative that It plundered Gaia and exploited people of color. The West gave back all the plunder, stopped breeding and just laid down to die in shame.

Bits and pieces of the West will survive, principally in technology and the white genes bred into other races by Western women who take men of color as breeding partners. Some Western men will have utility as technical managers and warriors but the days of Western dominance are coming to an end with the Fall of Western Civilization.

Dear Leader says- we get to go along for the ride but we have to sit in the back seat

I haven't been able to cook a pot of beans or pork roast  on an open fire this Fall as is my tradition. Our state DHS put a burn ban in place when Fall started due to dry conditions. I understand but this is just another example of nanny government treating citizens like children who can't make good decisions. I've had open fires in the Fall for three decades without incident but now I'll be fined $2500 for a fire.

Our modern society just gets more restrictive every day, with government sticking it's long nose in personal business in almost every matter. In NYC the government wants to make whistling at women a crime but allows a 4 year old to be sued for a bicycle accident. Is there anything that government can't get involved in or regulate?

This Samhuin I won't have my traditional open fire to warm us after the festivities. The government mandated trick-or-treat hours are 1700-2000 hrs so everything will be done by nightfall, or children could be arrested.

There is no humanity left in our civilization, everything is mandated and commercialized until we are just scripted actors in someone else's play. Actually, we're all criminals just waiting to be apprehended for our ongoing criminal conspiracies against the tyrannical state. If nothing else we all could be arrested under the RICO statutes. Just how many laws and regulations are there that we break every day in the normal course of living?

Modern american civilization has lost it's organic feel, we have lost touch with the earth and it's cycles, substituting some contrived, synthetic facsimile more like The Matrix than human life. Life has become a mandate to work to earn income that is pre-spent on requirements while complying with an infinite number of additional requirements that we have no input on. As our Dear Leader recently said "we get to go along for the ride but we have to sit in the back seat". Ok. But I'm saying wee-wee-wee all the way home.

God Help You If You Get a Chronic Disease

Obamacare will kill people on the government's timetable. Make no mistake about this. Once government bureaucrats begin making decisions about your health care, you're a goner.

I've already seen how this works. Once diagnosed with a chronic disease, the insurance company defines a treatment regimen. The details of your particular disease doesn't matter, one size fits all. The doctor has no input after diagnosis, everything is decided based upon the insurance code. If you don't comply with every aspect of the insurance company's defined treatment regimen then all atreatment will be withheld, and you will die.

There is nothing human about this system. It is all statistics, cost/benefit analysis and roles. It's bad enough when insurance companies administer health care. Imagine what it will be like once unionized government bureaucrats and politicians take over administration.

Death panels is no hype. Government mandated health care will kill people on timetables without regard for doctor or patient. My doctor retired rather than participate in this inhuman horror. What will remain is either doctors who just want to earn a check or good little nazis that follow orders. God help you if you get a chronic disease.

Chevy Cuts Deep

GM has turned into one of the biggest dirt bag global corporations on the face of the earth. The company wiped out stockholders when it went into bankruptcy then needed $50B in taxpayer bailouts to survive. GM dumped their salary pensions on Delphi, who in turn dumped their obligations on the taxpayers, harming every GM and Delphi salaried retiree and surviving spouse. Not satisfied GM is now walking away from property tax obligations, leaving communities to absorb millions of dollars in lost tax revenue.

Here in Bruigville, GM has a vast complex that once employed as many as 10,000 workers. Since the spinoff of Delphi and bankruptcy of both companies, most of the physical facilities and all of the production facilities have reverted to GM. About 1000 employees remain at the local site that appears to be doomed to closure in the next few years.

Over the years the community has abated millions of dollars in property taxes for facility and equipment upgrades, as well as paid for infrastructure improvements to support the plant. It was a sound investment until recently but now it appears that GM is done in Bruigville.

When GM took over the local manufacturing facility from Delphi, after coming out of bankruptcy, they decided to mark to market value all of their local equipment and facilities. Since they have no value for the mostly abandoned plants, they reduced their assessed value by $200M dollars, leaving a $17M hole in city,county and school budgets. This loss is devastating to a community already suffering huge job losses and subsequent revenue losses.

The city, county and schools have two choices, they can drastically cut budgets or raise homeowners property taxes to make up for the shortfall. Probably both! Either will harm a community with a 13% unemployment rate and hundreds of salaried retirees already harmed by pension cuts.

GM has left a trail of destruction across the US for decades. Bruigville appears to be the next Flint, Michigan thanks to GM's poor management and predatory practices.

GM will start a new ad campaign next month. Instead of "Chevy Runs Deep", for me it's more like "Chevy Cuts Deep". Or maybe instead of "Heartbeat of America" how about "Killing America One City at a Time".

There was a time in america when the presence of a GM plant meant growth and wealth. Nowadays it's like an injection of cocaine that gives a temporary high then kills you.

Social Security Receipts Collapse in iDepression2.0

The Social Security cash flow deficit is even worse than predicted the last two years. Another few months of Depression will cause the Social Security ponzi scheme to collapse.

Neither the Kenyan-Indonesian president or the congresscritters have mentioned this looming crisis. The incoming congress is going to have to change eligibility or raise FICA taxes 3-4%. The jig is up.

Many of us will work longer, providing some freeboard, but that just delays the day of reckoning. Those of us who decide to work longer may be funding our own delayed retirement with increased withholding and FICA taxes only to have benefits reduced anyway.

Half of US Population is Stoned-Or Wants to Be

Gallup recently conducted a poll and found that 46% of 1000 americans support legalizing marijuana. This data might explain a lot about why the US has become such a bizarre place. Half of the population is either stoned or wants to be legally stoned!

We shouldn't expect much clear thinking from the half of the population that is ripped on weed or is thinking about getting a legal buzz. No wonder we have the sundry problems that are destroying this republic.

Now everything is on fire sale

The Chinese have stomped US and Japanese supercomputing hegemony into oblivion. The Tianhe-1A has 1.4x the computing power of the next fastest US system, operating  at 2.5 petaflops (that's 1000 trillion cycles per second). Intel and NVidia fell over each other selling the most powerful chips in the world to the Chinese to build this machine.

This supercomputer will help the Chinese build better technologies to sell to the West and more advanced weapons to threaten rivals. At one time the US would have withheld such sales to maintain US technology preeminence. Now everything is on fire sale.

Besotten Love Puppies

Who can understand Europeans? They are dismayed that many americans want Obama and his democrat friends out of power just as soon as possible. Most urps love the tan man and endorse his policy of remaking america on the EU model.

Canine experts say that domesticated dogs are perpetual puppies when compared to wolves. They never reach adulthood because humans act like adult wolves, taking care of the puppies every need. Food, shelter, safety are all managed by humans, so the puppy never develops into an adult wolf.

Urps are like puppies, perpetual teens taken care of by the state. They live fantasy lives where another teen, a romantic, attractive and oh so young teen is the leader of the state. The leader would make love to them if the leader could just know them, because all ups are loved by everyone. The Bitter End

My state announced yesterday that it will begin stationing armed guards at unemployment offices this December when benefits begin running out for the unemployed. There hasn't been any violence at any unemployment offices, just a few heated words on occaision. But unionized state workers don't want to take any chances.

For many of my neighbors, the bitter end is in sight. The state will greet them on that last trip to the unemployment office with men wearing sidearms.

DRD4 Liberal Gene Affliction

Ok. It's UCSD so we have to be careful about the data from this study. All of the researchers  might have been stoned on some really, righteous weed. But, anyway, here goes. UCSD researchers have identified a liberal gene! I freakin just knew it. Libs are freaks of nature, genetic mutants, maybe goddamned aliens. Now we can determine if this genetic disorder can be treated or if we just have to euthanize the poor critters. Maybe we should start testing for the DRD4 gene in vitro, perhaps some gene therapy could cure the affliction. No one needs to suffer the loathesome lives of Obama, Reid, Pelosi or the Kennedys. Supreme Assclowns

The left wing of the Supreme Court beclowned themselves today in the minority ruling that murderer Landrigan should get a stay of execution because the sodium thiopental might not be safe, since it was manufactured in a foreign land. WTF? Do Ginsberg, Sotomayer, Breyer and Kagan think that brown skinned people can't make pharmecuticals? That's racist!

I don't care if the sodium thiopental is safe just as long as it's deadly. But then again, I still favor ancient Irish hanging and disembowelment for murderers. Apparently the dope was safe because Landrigan is dining with Ted Kennedy tonight.

Cap in Hand

The US has asked the Russia for material and logistics help in Afghanistan. This development suggests that either the US relationship with Pakistan  is or soon will be deteriorating. US drone attacks on Taliban fighters in Pakistan have angered Pakis who in turn have attacked US supply convoys to landlocked Afghanistan. The US neeeds an alternative supply delivery route and over-flight of Russia is the only other alternative.

Obama sold out US interests in the US-Russia arms treaty and European missile defense. Now the tan apologist will go cap in hand to the Russian asking for some help with Afnamistan. The Russians will say Da, knowing that the US is already bugging out next summer.

How pathetic and sad the US has become.

Now Illegal Aliens Can Vote?

Not a US citizen? Want to vote? No problem according to 9th Circuit Judge Sandra Ikuta and Judge Sandra O'Connor. If you're willing to roll the dice on being indicted for perjury you can register and vote even if you're a Mexican peon or a jihadi from Waziristan. When was the last time that you ever heard of anyone being indicted for voter registration fraud? Ever?

Democrats are doing everything in their power to corrupt the election process in this country, including giving votes to non-eligible voters. And many liberal, activist judges aren't helping. Next thing you know, they'll be allowing the entire population of the planet to register and vote in US elections...vote to give themselves our houses, bank accounts and children as slaves.

There is no wrong to be overturned in this case. It is not an unreasonable hurdle to require proof of citizenship upon registration.Only citizens of a nation can vote. Either you have legal standing as a citizen or not, there is no in between.  Otherwise all of Mexico would cross the border, vote for open border and amnesty candidates then go home to collect the goodies that their candidates bestow upon them.

I'm growing increasingly uneasy about the political and financial class in this country. There is an air of desperation and a disconnect from reality that is quite abnormal. Something is slouching this way.

Oakshott Type X -The Bayeux

The Oakshott Type X sword used by the Normans when they defeated the Saxons at Hastings in 1066 is just one of the finest weapons of war ever crafted.  At 36 3/8 inches long and 1.12 kilos the sword had just enough mass to break a man or his shield without exhausting an averaged sized warrior in battle. This Wasn't Necessary

CBS does what it does best in this story about the 99ers who lost the american dream in this Depression. My brother is one these 99ers who is uncertain if he will ever work again at age 50. There but by the Grace of God go I.

No one knows how to end this 21st century depression and no one knows how it will end. Wretchard has a take on all this, and like me he sees the global elites at the center of the problem and solutions.

All one can do is try to look out for oneself and those near you in this world. Take that gift that God provides and work with it to make a way for you and your loved ones. Neither expect too much nor accept too little.

Our global elites only look out for themselves, at the expense of everyone else, even their neighbor next door. With no God in their life, they take His gift and game it for only their gain, expecting and demanding every last penny on the table.

The Chinese consider the Yellow Sea to be a Chinese lake therefore they have fiercely opposed US-Korean war games in their lake. The US capitulated today and cancelled the war games in the Yellow Sea. The USS George Washington CBG will slink back into the Pacific with it's tail between it's legs in compliance with the Chinese economic overlords. Obama knows who's the boss.

Whoa! Goldman thinks the Fed may print $4T under QE2 and eventually up to $10T! Now thats some fucking printing, enough to cover both the M1 and M2 supply of dollars in the world. Yep 100% inflation. That'll kick the shit out of deflation.

The Germans think the US is "indirectly manipulating the dollar". Um no. Bernanke is directly manipulating the dollar. If he can't get the US economy out of iDepression 2.0 then he may as well create a bubble as big as the earth to pop the entire global economy.

Vote 2010: American Kabuki

The political kabuki that is american elections has a little over a week to go. I can't wait for it to end so we can see what the global elites' next move is.

I have no faith that a republican majority will fundamentally alter anything in this country. The republicans and democrats are taking us to the same place, the democrats are just driving faster. The Tea Party folk are nice, polite people utterly incapable of understanding, let alone dealing with, the forces relentlessly driving us to a feudal society.

As is my custom for the past 38 years,  I'll trudge over to the voting poll, hold my nose, gag and vote. I'll probably vomit in my mouth a little bit afterwards. But it won't change anything.

We'll probably have a republican majority in the House and a tiny democrat majority in the Senate. With Obama's veto, we're certain to have legislative gridlock. Obama will continue to use unaccountable czar's to force his redistributive agenda on the people.

Obamacare will stand and the Bush tax cuts will most likely expire, pushing millions of americans out of the middle class into near poverty. Financial reform will give every american family a new monthly bill, the checking account fee unless you agree to direct deposit and keep several thousand dollars in a savings account that yields nothing.

The Fed will print $3, $6 or $14 trillion more dollars to revive the US economy but we'll still be in the 2007 iDepression 2.0 because without trust or confidence that's what you get. Most of those freshly printed dollars will find their way overseas into the offshore accounts of global corporations.

So this election will be like Kabuki, a lot of fancy costumes, masks and stuff going on. But nobody can figure out what the hell it means.

Russia Speaks on California Stoners

A Russian drug official says legalizing pot in California would be a catastrophe! This article is the funniest thing that I've read in a while. Russia is concerned about Californians exhibiting "psychiatric deviation". Having worked with Californians for decades I'd have to say that they've been mentally ill for decades. Maybe it's the pot, maybe not.

And since when are the Russians concerned with the well being of americans? Russians have been trying to systematically destroy the US for 65 years and have mostly succeeded. Why not kick back with a vodka and watch California and the rest of the US implode on dope?

Governments love having it's citizens impaired by drugs and alcohol. They're easier to fleece when impaired. Governments could control drugs if they wanted to but they don't. They have far too much utility when dealing with a dreamless dead population.

California should legalize pot, and every other drug. It would make some damn entertaining reality shows. Hell, I might even watch some television again if I could watch "Stoned Housewives of Orange County".

Corporations and Obamacare

I suspect that Obamacare was seen by corporations as another opportunity to get rid of legacy employee benefits such as pensions and health insurance, or at least pass more of the costs to employees. Companies didn't raise many objections when Obamacare was proposed then rapidly passed by Congress. That is telling in itself.

Over the years corporations operating in the US have complained that their cost structure is too high, relative to overseas costs. Benefits such as pensions and health insurance were cited as examples of costs that they don't have anywhere else. Corporations stated that if they could reduce or eliminate these costs, they would be more competitive globally.

Since 1990 most corporations have eliminated pension plans. The only employers that offer pensions are mostly government entities. Obamacare will be the excuse to first raise employee share of health care benefits, then eliminate the benefit completely. At that point, americans will have to decide whether to adopt national health care and pay for it with higher taxes or let employees pay for 100% of their health care benefits. It isn't difficult to guess what americans will do.

Wages have not increased for most workers in the US for decades. Since pensions and health insurance have historically been part of total compensation, a loss of these benefits is in fact a wage decrease. When americans press lawmakers for universal, national health care it will require higher taxes to pay for it. This will result in significantly lower disposable income for most people.

Imagine your take home pay  decreasing from $3200 per month to $2200 per month and you'll get an idea what the average american will be experiencing over the next few years. You might be able to pay for housing, food and transportation but that's it. No consumer economy for you, or the US economy.

Will this make corporations operating in the US competitive in the global market, boosting jobs and income? Probably not unless a host of government regulations are repealed and set aside. Unions and special interests will fight this to the end, leaving the US an uncompetitive island in a sea of corporate hegemony.

Eventually you abandon the house in the suburbs, the car and get the tiny apartment in the megalopolis so you can walk to work with the lunchbox in your shabby clothes. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones with the corporation housing, uniform and cafeteria then every week you'll get a receipt and a debit card with a few dollars on it to get something special at the company store.

Expect benefits enrollment to be painful this year, with big increases in health insurance employee withholding. And expect to get less for more from the policy. If you had a Cadillac policy, expect a Malibu policy. If you want an economy policy, it might not be available due to Obamacare minimum coverage mandates.

Like putting a photo in your blog entry to help convey the meaning of your posting? Well know this, if Googlebot comes along and finds the photo it will catalog it and your blog will get photo search hits but no traffic. Now you know.

Google Imageres was hitting my photo of a Garand M1 about 40 times a day this weekend for some damn reason. Next to no one clicked the image to read what I had to say about Obama's ban of this weapon. So fuck it. I took the image down.

In hind sight, my posting on the Russian TU-50 stealth fighter was mostly just generating image hits. But not 40 per day, so I'll leave the photos up.

G20 Unholy Sabbat

The G20 held an unholy meeting in South Korea where they lied and agreed " to refrain from competitive currency devaluations". China and India were allotted more votes in the IMF in recognition of their growing economic power. Geithner told everyone to fuck off, that Bernanke and the Fed were going to print dollars like there was no tomorrow, because there isn't in any conventional sense. The global elites realize that the US middle class still has a few assets left that they want to acquire. Then they can rule the world as the demigods they all know that they are.

Zogby's Dreamless Dead

Pollster John Zogby came up with the term "dreamless dead" to describe americans that have given up on the american dream. The american dream is a belief that if you work hard that you will get ahead and that your children will have a better opportunities in life than you did.

My journey to the dreamless dead began in about 1990 when it started becoming clear that the company I had joined as a startup in 1983 was going global.
The company and my career saw good growth until a corporate giant bought us up in 1986 and installed management zombies throughout the organization. Company and career growth stunted then ceased by 1990. I hoped that somehow things would turn around but by 2000 the company was dying and I was let go.
I took another job that paid well but was a deadend career  in another corporate giant that was bankrupt and dying in america as it boomed in Asia. It was always clear that working hard wouldn't translate into anything because dying companies aren't interested in the future, they are dreamless dead themselves.
Now I'm working for another start up company that has a policy of never promoting from within, preferring to hire seasoned veterans for each cog in the corporate machine. A select few top managers trade chairs and get longer titles while 95% of the organization is locked in position forever.
No matter how hard I work, how creative I am or how many hours a day I work I will never advance in this company. It is written in the stars. If the company ever starts giving merit raises, I 'll get the typical raise that covers inflation thus locking in my base salary forever. So I am a dreamless dead, a career zombie stumbling through the workscape until I stop.
Talking with friends and acquaintances it's all the same everywhere. There is just too little opportunity and too much labor in this country. Talent and hard work just let you keep your job, if lucky. Only one of a hundred have that je ne sais qois that creates a path to the american dream. It seems that modern corporate structures are incapable of identifying and promoting talent. It's safer to hire (purchase) the management widget that you need than develop from within. After all, will the company even be around in two quarters or years?
So 99% of us are dreamless dead in the workplace.

My journey to the dreamless dead, with regard to my children, started in 2004. My daughter's bachelors degree didn't mean a good paying job and another daughter's pregnancy didn't mean a family. Six years later, after two bachelors degrees and a third on the way, all three daughters are working in retail/service jobs, making a little better than minimum wage. Two fatherless grandchildren are living on the margins even with ongoing support from grandma and I. What kind of future are these daughters and their children going to have?

Politicians, academics and pundits all say education is the key to success for acheiving the american dream. I'm calling bullshit. Companies have raised the educational bar to get into the door but don't want to pay for it. One doesn't need a bachelors degree to point out the toilet paper aisle at Walmart or check out customers at Best Buy. If you have the smarts and endurance to earn a bachelors degree then working retail would bore you nearly to death and leave you broke just paying back the college loans.

The dream of a stable, conventional family is even out of reach for most young people. Neither of my grandsons will ever have or know a conventional family. Dad is just some mythical construct that you see on television and mom is some stressed out psychobitch who also lives with grandpa and grandma. Kids will make a way for themselves but it won't be anything I know or recognize. Dreamless dead is my daughter's mantra.

For most people, dreamless death is the new normal in america. Society pushes lifestyles that are plain unattainable for most people and no longer has the means to generate wealth that will support those lifestyles. Over educated, unattached employees work for unattached, temporary companies that neither know nor care about the employee-commodities that work for them. Pretend and extend is the order of the day. Nothing is believable or sustainable.

So I am dreamless dead and have been for more than a decade. There are millions just like me.

Julian Assange

Convicted network hacker and accused rapist Julian Assange has done it again. He unlawfully gained access to US military files and posted them on the internet to smear US troops serving in the field. In another time or place he would at least be arrested for treason, or worse.

Hacker "Mendax" (nobly untruthful) was a member of the International Subversives hacker group and was convicted in 1992 on 24 charges. He has spent the past 18 years drifting around causing mischief just to undermine civilization. Julian has never performed useful work during his entire, useless life.

Bad shit happens in war. It is chaos that brings out the best, and worst, in human beings. Always been so. But at least warriors are willing to stand up and lay their lives on the line for something that they believe in. Julian is a parasite who picks at men's work from the sidelines having never done work himself. He believes only in chaos and his own sense of vanity.

Those who love tyrants and hate civilization will pick at the leaked documents to find fault with this or that. Fuck them. They are petty children who never sacrificed anything for anyone ever. They are opossums feeding on corpses lying on the side of the road.

Who is this criminal Assange to judge men who risk their life? This traitor who reveals secrets to breed more hatred and death, as he sits on the sideline sneering? Julian needs to crawl back under the rock that he came from until he goes into the fire of Mordor.

NPR CEO Schiller- Soviet Studies Major

NPR CEO Vivian Schiller told Juan Williams "tell your psychiatrist or publicist" when she fires him for speaking plainly and honestly. This ex-NYT Soviet Studies major then apologized for "this happening during fundraising week". Doh!

EU vs. US: Tantrums vs. Maturity

Here in the US, most of us old farts have quietly postponed retirement dreams and plan on working as long as health and employers will let us work. No rioting, protests or even whining really. No one is burning cars, blockading refineries or striking. Just sober resignation that our nest eggs have been destroyed so we have to keep working if we want to maintain any semblance of our previous lifestyle.

Over in Europe, many of the people are throwing an enormous temper tantrum over very modest increases in retirement age. Riots and strikes are destroying millions of euros in wealth that they don't have, cutting off their nose to spite their face. The French in particular, plan to continue strikes and riots even though the legislation increasing retirement age has passed.

Europeans often cite that america is less mature and civilized than Europe. I've had this statement tossed in my face dozens of times by European visitors that look down their aristocratic noses at americans and the US. But who is mature and civilized now? Tantrum throwing Europeans or resigned americans?

Democrats are the Europeans of america. The quicker we can get these childish, uncivilized parasites on boats headed back to Europe the better off we'll be. It might even help Europe fix their demographic problem so they can continue their ponzi scheme for another generation. Or maybe they'll just all eat each other.

Trafalgar Day

The UK Tory government is going all in on austerity. They don't have much choice with their national debt at 200% GDP, no exports to speak of and only financial services to generate revenue. So deep cuts must be made.

The British military is going to cut 8% of their spending by deferring weapons purchases and eliminating units in all branches of it's services. The British Navy, once the ruler of the waves, will downsize to 19 surface combatants and one aircraft carrier, with no aircraft until 2020 when if the F35 Lightning becomes available.

I suppose that the UK really doesn't need a military anymore. There isn't any wealth left in the British Isles to plunder, the climate is horrid and an immigrant muslim army is already ashore consuming the remaining wealth by sucking at the public teat.

China Shuts Rare Earth Exports to US and Rivals

China told the US to fuck off today when it stopped exports of rare earth minerals. The Middle Kingdom is unhappy with Congress attempts to blame China for all the US economic troubles. China also intends to starve rivals of scarce materials to make itself the single source of many manufactured goods in the world. This is the kind of stuff that starts wars.

Austerity

The West is collapsing under the weight of 60 years of socialism. Greece, France and the UK have proposed austerity measures as debt soars and the generous social benefits cannot go on. The citizens respond with protests and riots. This doesn't bode well for the future.

The Western economies will not recover as wages stagnate, the global population grows and resources become more scarce. There simply is not enough oil, metals, food or wealth to sustain the world as we have known it. Westerners are not prepared to give up their lifestyles despite a world that changed forever. They will protest and riot and elect politicians who will lie and promise the status quo.

My grandparents and parents lived austere, modest lives shunning debt and living within their means. My generation lived well beyond their means on debt and still didn't have everything that they wanted. I blame television and the consumer economy for much of this shameful lifestyle of entitlement. But ultimately it is the moral failing of the individual people of the West that bought this nonsense.

The West will slide into the new Dark Age at alarming speed. There will be protests and riots and whining but it won't stop the inevitable decline. New repressive feudal lords will violently suppress dissent after a while and the West will settle in short, brutish and nasty lives like much of the world.

DOW Falls below 11k on Bank Fraud News

The DOW fell 1% today on bad news, bad news and more bad news.

China raised interest rates to fight inflation in the Middle Kingdom. China's economy is growing despite the US depression and they want to maintain a stable currency. Apparently the idea of higher interest rates in China scares the hell out of american debtor investors.

IBM, Alcoa and Microsoft reported crappy earnings this quarter leading investors to dump these stocks as the depression continues in america.

BoA is in a shitstorm for foreclosure fraud, cutting the bankster's stock value in half. BoA may be on the hook for up to $47B in fraudulent loans. But hey, they are TBTF and Helicopter Ben will drop bags of $100 bills to them if they say the magic word. But HFTbots are selling their stock anyway.

Random Thoughts on Recruiting Queers in the US Military

The Pentagon has advised recruiters to hire queer soldiers. 

Why would the question of sexual orientation come up in a job interview? I've interviewed quite a few job candidates over the years and I've never asked anything about their personal lives at all. Especially not that question. So why would a military recruiter ask a candidate that question? I wouldn't expect a job candidate or recruit to blurt out their sexual preferences. I would consider any candidate who felt I needed to know about their sex life as some kind of weirdo that I wouldn't want to be around, let alone work with for the next few years. I wouldn't even hire a pretty woman if she told me in an interview that she likes to have sex with her husband. The matter is just inappropriate in a job interview.

So what's a recruiter supposed to do? Ask some guy if he likes to puff peckers or some gal if she likes to chew rugs? I don't think so. I suppose recruiters are going to have to just ignore many queer's need to demonstrate "in your face homosexuality" and sign em up and let the drill sergeant sort it out.

Transvestites might be tricky for recruiters. Some potential recruits might check both male and female or say they are in between. Where do you bunk a transvestite with a penis?

I wonder if the Ivy league schools will allow recruiters on campus now that the military is recruiting queers?

Will the Army have all queer brigades with rainbow unit flags and pink camo uniforms?

When the wolf is at the door do you look for the fairies next door or the guy with the deep voice and wife with a tramp stamp to save you?

I think most americans don't care what you do in the bedroom but they don't want to know about it either. Few coworkers in my forty one years of work have ever discussed their sexual exploits. Mostly the exception has been queers. In every case I've told coworkers to keep it to themselves, it's inappropriate in the workplace and creates a hostile work environment. Everyone gets one warning then it's an HR matter.

Don't ask, don't tell worked just fine for the military until queers and their activist judge friends had to make it an issue. Queers can't seem to be satisfied unless everyone knows in detail what they do in the bedroom. Ok. But actions have consequences. So if you're shunned because you prance around telling the squad that you like to puff peckers, tough shit. If you bleed out after a gunshot wound because nobody in the squad wants to get possible HIV infected blood on them then tough shit too.

Rules of Idiocy in Afghanistan

A recent report from Afghanistan clearly demonstrates why the Obama administration is basically murdering US troops serving there.

Word had come down the morning Brooks spoke to this reporter that watch towers surrounding the base were going to be dismantled because Afghan village elders, some sympathetic to the Taliban, complained they were invading their village privacy. "We have to take down our towers because it offends them and now the Taliban can set up mortars and we can't see them," Brooks added, with disgust.- Washington Examiner

 

WTF? Are you kidding me?  Invading village privacy? I tell you what Abdul, we'll take the towers down but you have to provide security by reporting any Taliban activity in the area. If so much as one bullet is fired at our compound, we'll gang rape all your women, sell your children in Africa as slaves then shell your village to rubble. Capisce?

Channeling Something Ancient Before Samhuin

A dog, a boy, a wife, a family all cozy in a warm house on a cool, wet Fall evening. Our bellies full, we played with the boy and his dog until bedtime. Timeless stuff that our ancestors would know well. Somewhere there is trouble, storm clouds on the horizon. But not here, not tonight. Just the dying season leading to Samhuin but eleven days away.

A leafhopper made his way to my shop this evening and laid down for the last time. He just couldn't go on. His time was done. And so it is with the plants and the leaves. Having done their duty, preparing the way for the next generation, they quietly lay down and go back to whence they came. All travel across Abred on their journey to Gwynvyd, the white life.

A dog, a boy, a wife and a family with some work and companions have brought Awen to this tired, old Celt. My wisdom is burnished, slowly by God through the dog, the boy, the wife and the rest. Somebody please explain to me what the hell is going on in France? As I understand the situation, the adult government has determined that the country can't afford to continue the policy of retirement at age 60, so have proposed that retirement age be increased to 62.

The responsible citizens respond by striking, shutting down the country and cutting off their own fuel supply. Then the students skip school to protest riot. WTF?

How is paralyzing the country going to change the fact that France is broke and can no longer pay for retirement at 60? Is working two more years so unbearable that you would destroy your country?

If I was Sarkozy, I'd be tempted to let the citizens burn the place down and shiver in the cold all winter.

And since when do teenagers or even 20 somethings think for one second about retirement? Methinks their rage is about skipping school, tearing stuff up then having lots of very smelly French sex.

Drug Cartel Law Inside the US

Just another case of Mexicans doing the jobs that americans won't do. It seems that there is lawlessness in Arizona's Vekol valley. The Mexican drug cartel's couriers are getting robbed by banditos, so they've had a meeting and are sending in assassin teams to kill the robbers.

Fuck taking over Afghanistan's Helmund province. The goddamned Federal fucking government can't even control a valley in Arizona. But they do have the resources to sue Arizona for trying to minimally abate the invasion and conquest of Arizona.

Anya Kushchenko received the "highest state honor" of the Russian Federation for service to the motherland. Well, good for Anya and Russia. At least the Russians have a plan which is more than I can say for clusterfuck america.

The Fed are Imbeciles

The Fed and Treasury are run by imbeciles. QE2 printing and asset purchases to fight asset deflation is just dumb. The reason asset values are falling is that there is no confidence in the current Fed/government policies so no one believes that the value of assets is worth the price.

The US is selling treasury bonds to fund government debt that is not sustainable. Investors know that they will never be repaid so they shun the investment. The Fed steps in the breach, prints money then uses the money to buy treasury bonds funding a bloated and unsustainable government. Round and round it goes until it can't. Then the charade collapses.

There is a one year backlog of unsold houses rotting in place, thus losing value every day. This backlog depresses the value of all the other homes in the country so housing prices haven't bottomed yet. Who would buy a home in this market knowing that prices haven't bottomed out yet? Housing will continue to deflate in value until the foreclosure mess is sorted out and home buyers can discover price.

There are vacant commercial buildings all over this country which means that their value has tanked as well. Many of these buildings are also being allowed to rot in place. The entire market is deflating as businesses close and consolidate.

US company stock values are deflating as the consumer economy coasts along in the depression and investors shun stocks. Municipal bond values deflate as the tax base deflates making cities insolvent. Non-essential merchandise value deflates as consumers stay home and horde cash. It goes on and on.

The Fed is left with only one weapon, print money that will end up in emerging markets where it will inflate their currency so US exports seem cheap. The Fed hopes that the destruction of other countries export business will jump start the US economy. Is this moral? Probably not but the Fed and government have no choice. So the US fucks the rest of the world to get an edge.

I think the game is over in the US. Most people see the immoral manipulation that caused the economy to crash and are unwilling to continue to play the game. The game can't continue so it won't. Bubbles have been destroying the US economy for decades and this Fed QE bubble may be the last before it implodes the US and global economy. Currency war or shooting war? It doesn't matter. The central banks and the dollar are shot as we see how low we can go.

The Fed wants inflation, it will get it. In oil, gold, silver, grain, copper and all the other commodities that make the global economy run. Hyperinflation in fuel and food will be the result of the Fed's stupid policy. Housing, commercial real estate, most stocks and bonds will continue to deflate. What's that gonna do for confidence?

The Fed are imbeciles.

Hubris

There's a rule that every boy learns on the playground at a young age: never get into a fight that you don't intend to win. Sparring just gets you hurt and sets you up for the next fight, which will come if your opponent sees you don't have the will to win.

The american people are tired of the war in Afghanistan and don't think it is winnable. Considering the strategy and goals of this administration, I have to agree. Aghanistan is not ready for a central government nor a modern nation state. These 7th century people want tribal governance and to live like their ancestors 1400 years ago. We should let them.

Trying to bring civilization to Afghanistan is a fool's errand. The US should announce that it will fortify and occupy the Bagram air base forever then station a minimum number of troops to secure it for drone missions against those who would bring harm to the West.

War, like playground fights, is about breaking your opponent's will to harm you. If you demonstrate to your opponent that you have the will and means to harm him, he will leave you alone. Instead of rules of engagement that protect Afghani non-combatants, we should be wiping entire villages out. If Afghanis are willing to put their people in harms way, why should we care about them more than they care about them?

Every war up until Vietnam, enemy civilians were killed because of the actions of their leaders. That has always been the way of war. But the West went stupid after WW2 and forgot history. Now we can't win any war.

Saxons Outbred and Overrun by Immigrant Colonizers

The Germans are fed up with failed multiculturalisml. Apparently the establishment of no-go zones where no German is spoken is more than they can bear. Decades ago immigrants were invited to Germany to provide labor to make up for Germany's low birth rate. The immigrants are far more prolific breeders than Germans and now the country is full of foreigners who never wanted to be German.

Tidy and orderly Germans don't think much of ratty immigrant slums full of immigrants demanding that Germans pay for their litter sized broods of surly muslims. Who could blame them?

What Germany wanted was slaves who would work for low wages then disappear when the day's work was done. Germans assumed that the slave laborers would adore German culture and try to become brown skinned Germans. Instead they got muslim colonizers who despise Germans and want to establish their own culture in Germany.

Native Britains tried this same thing in about 300AD when Saxons were invited in to guard the channel coast. The Saxons had other ideas and ended up taking the country over. Now the Saxons (and the rest of Germany) are getting the same treatment. Irony is sweet eh?

Short of ethnic cleansing the Germans (and Europeans in general) are stuck with their immigrant colonizers that within a few generations will become a majority. What will the Germans do? They won't breed, in the strict sense of the term, so they will diminish to a minority in the place called Germany.

US is now a Bananna Republic

The US government is simply dismissing deportation cases against illegal immigrants in Houston so long as they don't have felony charges against them. Effectively they are granted amnesty to stay in america without status. So the US government is no longer enforcing it's own laws.

Why should I obey federal law? Or any law for that matter? If the government can pick and choose what laws they are going to enforce then surely I can decide what laws I'm going to obey. At the least, everyone is uncertain which laws are enforced and which aren't. So just do as you please and roll the dice.

The US is now a Bananna Republic where law is enforced on a whim by the current big shot in power. Mortgages given to the unemployed, real estate titles forged by banks, thugs with clubs at voting polls and the national treasury looted by political cronies.

When ordinary folks decide that obeying laws is for suckers the republic is finished.

Theater of the Absurd

A 15 year old Canadian jihadist throws a grenade, killing one US soldier and maiming another in Afghanistan, gets taken into custody, spends 8 years at Guantanomo then gets a plea bargain to serve 8 years in prison. After his "rehabilitation" he'll be sent back to Canada to live a productive life.

It seems poor, little Omar was brainwashed by his Al Qaeda father. He was taken to Afghanistan by his jihadist father to kill Americans, so he did. Omar is a victim, just as much as the US soldiers that he killed and maimed. According to authorities he should be allowed to live to be all that he can be.

This is just theater of the absurd. In any other time, any other place, Omar Khadr would have been shot dead after throwing the grenade. Actions have consequences. But in this 21st century madhouse, Omar is taken halfway around the world, held for 8 years, tried and "rehabilitated" for another 8 years then released back into the world to become a productive citizen.

What is Omar going to do when released from prison and sent back to Canada? Take a job at the Quickie Mart, find a nice girl, settle down and raise a family? Or head straight for a mosque, join a terrorist group and get some revenge for his lost youth? Joy Behar is uncertain but I know the answer. Omar is going to take up his former vocation and wind up dead after his next jihad mission.

Omar should be found guilty of being an unlawful enemy combatant, taken out of the courtroom and shot for  murdering a lawful soldier under the terms of the Geneva Convention. But those who don't have to pick up a weapon to fight the enemies of civilization in some filthy, third world shit hole don't want to be troubled by their conscience. Better to turn Omar loose and let some 19 year old soldier in Goathumpistan take care of the problem.

Whether We Like It or Not

Helicopter Ben is smiling as he announces that the Fed choppers are fueled and soon will be loaded with freshly printed bales of hundred dollar bills that will be dropped on banks and the US Treasury. Inflation is just too damn low at 1.1% and interest rates too high at 0% for consumers to spend, businesses to expand and investors to invest.

But consumers aren't buying any of this and don't plan on any spending in the near term, there is just too much uncertainty in the economy right now.

I had a meeting with our financial advisor this afternoon who seemed upbeat about stocks and the economy. His ever advise is that when the story is bad, it's time to buy undervalued stocks. Right now the story is bad, but historically we've had bad stories before. And recovered.
Stocks are underpriced by 33% right now, so they are cheap by historical standards. Pick solid companies with a history of growth, adaptability and solid earnings then enjoy 15% year over year growth over the next five years.
He advised that I ignore the DOW, the bad stories in the news, politics and the gloom. Just hold the solid portfolio, glance at the monthly statements and watch it grow. Sounds easy eh?

It is sadly amusing watching imperial america literally collapse right before my very eyes. I always wondered how Rome could just collapse and now I am living the history lesson. I really don't even care anymore because the former america is mortally wounded politically, financially and morally. The whole charade needs to collapse so something viable can replace it before it's overrun by internal and external barbarian hordes.

Job losses continue to mount even as long term unemployed drop off the benefit rolls and into the memory hole. The Fed will print more money in QE2 to try to finance the ever growing imperial debt.

The trade deficit is up, food and fuel inflation is rising as the dollar losses value because the Fed will print fiat currency. The stock market is up as dollar denominated stocks are worth 13% less since June. Gold, silver, oil and grain values are all rising daily as the dollar sinks lower. No one wants worthless dollars as the empire collapses.

Home foreclosures are up even as the imperial banks produce fraudulent titles to repossess houses that will never sell. The housing market is in complete collapse as no titles can be considered valid due to imperial bank fraud. The Fed is sitting on $6T in mortgage backed securities that no one wants.

Obamacare will raise health care costs as much as three times next year making insurance unaffordable for those who previously were able to buy insurance. A Florida judge asks if required health care provisions are a tax or a penalty? The emperor and his minions respond with a clear yes.

Meanwhile the emperor and the empress travel the land rallying their tribe, tampering with polls and buying votes. Obama's hole card is race as he desperately campaigns on a platform of blacks need to be taken care of by redistributing white wealth, implying that blacks can't take care of themselves. Nor can latinos, indians or other downtrodden folk in white america. Race war bitchez.

The military is denied ballots but are provided queer comrades in arms.

Many of my former countrymen hope against hope that the coming election will divert doom. It's too late.

The american empire is finished. Obama and the democrats wanted to live Barack senior's dream to decolonize the world and humble america. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Columbus Day Economic Stuff

Another day, another drop in the value of the dollar. After the IMF failed to stop the currency war and QE2 on deck, everyone wants to move to a defensive position against the dollar. Maybe this will be the Black Swan that takes down the global economy.

420 banks demand a global currency to replace the dollar as reserve currency. No surprise there, the dollar is causing global chaos and QE2 hasn't even started the printing presses yet.

Economists see slower growth for 2011 in the US. Growth was estimated to be 3.2% last May, now growth is estimated at 2.6%. Um, Ok. Anything below 3% means no decrease in unemployment thus poor consumer sales hence the economy remains in a depression.

US drops to seventh place in the world for average adult wealth at $236,213! A decade ago the US ranked first but after the housing bubble crashed, stock market losses and depression level incomes american average adult wealth is in free fall.

Oh noes. The NYSE had a "problem" with 160 stocks and the exchanges were "closed". WTF? Are those HFTbots making meetballs out of traders?

The government and banks were closed for the Columbus Day holiday today so we didn't hear much about the bankster mortgage foreclosure fraud issue. Any mortgage issued after 2005 is suspect for title problems. If you bought a home after 2005 ya'll better head to the courthouse and see if your title is free and clear.
