Regime Plans to Explore for Oil...or Political Ploy?

Reuters reports that the regime might announce today that they might allow exploration for offshore oil and gas in US territorial waters. Then Reuters goes on to say that the policy change would be helpful to america in terms of energy security. There you go! Why would the regime do anything that might help america or or the proletariat?

Leasing rights to explore does not mean rights to drill production wells. There ain't been any new offshore production drilling started in decades, except by foreign countries outside the US territorial limits. This policy would probably only result in new discoveries that are tapped by Russian and Chinese companies that would be disinclined to share the production with americans.

The regime is using this ploy to goad republicans into supporting the regime's cap-and-trade policy, otherwise referred to as national energy policy. Like other regime policies, the only purpose is to destroy america and give the regime absolute power over the residents therein. And so it goes.

End Times?

I've never been a particularly religious man. I believe in God the creator. I struggle with man's writings and religions, knowing that men have agendas and are basically evil. Lately I've come to wonder if biblical end times are coming soon. Political and economic events certainly give me pause. But the breakdown of civil society really drives the end time scenario home. The fathers of my grandsons are such scumbags, not caring a bit about these wonderful boys that they have brought into this world. When fathers don't care at all about their own flesh and blood, how can God look upon His creation lovingly?

US Economy in a Flat Spin

Monty Pelerin has a good peice on the debt spiral that the West is facing on PJM. Below is his analogy to the economic situation facing america.

The federal government collects about $2.5 trillion in total revenues a year. That is from all sources of taxes and fees. Think of that as an individual’s annual gross salary. The debt owed by the government can be looked at as a great big mortgage. Thus, we have a family that has a mortgage 44.8 times greater than gross salary. That would be the equivalent of a man earning $50,000 gross salary having a mortgage of $2,240,000! An interest-only mortgage at 6% would require the family to pay annual interest of $134,000 per year. A conventional mortgage would be much higher. The example becomes even more ludicrous when one recognizes that taxes, food, clothing, savings, etc. all have to be subtracted from gross pay to determine what is left for debt service.
When we shift back to the federal government, the family analogy becomes even more absurd. The federal government has nothing left from their “gross pay.” Their “living expenses” actually exceeded their gross pay by $1.2 trillion last fiscal year. That is, they spent almost 50% more than they made. Comparable behavior is budgeted for the next ten years.

Aviation calls this situation a flat spin, meaning no lift, no power and hence no control. The only hope is to bail out of the aircraft. Obamacare just adds mass to the spin, so the crisis falls faster.

The Times Union says that white men now shun democrats. Good. They should. About half of white women still say they will vote for democrats. Well of course they will, since the democrat government transfers wealth from white men to women and minorities.

Women are the more emotional of the sexes and will feel bad whenever they see some poor child, struggling single mom or under-privileged minority. Women have natural empathy with the down-trodden and  have thought of themselves as second class citizens for centuries. Many, if not most, women get aroused when they ponder being ravaged by some dark, handsome minority. So of course women would tend to vote democrat.

 However I don't see anything particularly white or manly about democrats. Many white, democrat men get aroused too when they think about pleasuring some dark, handsome man. Democrats draw losers from the electorate, who need government to level the playing field for them. They can't compete with white men so they hang with the women and minorities, hoping they will feel sorry for them and give them free stuff.

The democrats are hell bent to utterly destroy the majority of white men. If democrats had their way, most white men would be castrated slaves. All the women would belong to the minority males to use as status symbols, like a Cadillac Escalade, or concubines. Any white man who votes for democrats is voting for the destruction of the white race. And not too smart for white women either (unless they like living the ghetto life).

Dictator Obama ordered banks to stop requiring mortgage payments and write off principal for the victim class today. His excellency was unfazed by news that Social Security payments exceeded receipts this year AND the CBO report that US debt will be 90% of GDP by 2020.

Meanwhile Transportation Comissar Ray LaHood announced that bicycles would be treated equally with motorized vehicles, ending decades of discrimination against "da peeple's ride". LaHood sees millions of american peasants people bicycling to work and about town, just like Chinese peasants.

Beaver

My grandson has a stuffed beaver that we've played with most every night before bed for four years. The boy, Beaver and I go lay down and "wrestle", which really means rough house. Beaver usually starts the trouble with with provocative and whimsical comments. Then it's "on" for a half hour.

Beaver speaks in a silly, high voice that has stirred the boy's imagination for years. Lately the boy has taken to telling Beaver to be quiet because he's not real, and he can't talk. Grandad is talking. But he looks at Beaver while telling him the facts. So funny.

The boy is growing up and soon Beaver will pass into history. Kinda sad in a way. But Beaver will live forever in the boy's mind. Maybe I'll live in the man's mind long after I'm gone.

Are most americans so risk averse that they prefer a soft government cage to freedom? Davide Murrin thinks so and so do I. Far too many people want someone else to tell them what to think, what to eat, how to behave and every little detail of life. America peaked about 40 years ago and since then has been living on the residual wealth created after WW2. The government has nationalized most of our auto industry, our banking industry, our health care system and soon, the energy industry. What's left?

Our military will be gutted as tax receipts decline leaving a vacumn that will be filled by nations and peoples willing to take risks. Even Mexican drug cartels are no longer afraid to murder american diplomats next door. How long until Chinese, Russians, Iranians and every other thug in the world decides that there is zero risk in ignoring or attacking america?

Then House Leader Steny Hoyer says "Democrats have reported incidents of threats or other forms of harassment about their support of the highly divisive health insurance overhaul vote." Well Steny, maybe if you assclowns actually obeyed the Constitution and represented the american people, you wouldn't have to worry about "threats" and "harrassment". Isn't the democrat congress actually threatening and harrassing the american public by shoving un-Constitutional legislation down our throats? Turnabout is fair play eh comrade?

159 New Federal Bureaucracies Coming

Doctor and congress critter Tom Price says that the health care bill includes the creation of 159 federal bureacracies to administer our health care. Not good. In the good old days, you and your doctor made decisions about treatment. The past few years I've had to deal with not only my doctor, but the insurance companies and lawyers standing in the shadows. The insurance bureaucrats and lawyers created "checkbox medicine" that defines a standard set of treatment for every medical malady, no matter the particulars of your case. If you have disease X then check off the following procedures without variation. The doctor must follow the checklist or be fired by the bureaucrats.

In my case, as a mild diabetic who can control the disease well with diet, exercise and low doses of medication I saw the doctor once per year for prescriptions. The insurance companies and lawyers said that I had to see doc twice per year and had to have an expensive battery of blood tests at each visit. The doctor thought this was unnecessary but she had no say in the matter. This treatment doubled my annual treatment cost. Imagine what federal bureaucrats will mandate.

Pay Up Sucker

I'm not wealthy and never will be. Maybe I'm lazy or stupid, I don't know. But I have enough and I'm Ok with my lot in life. I've never wanted a lot and just don't see the utility of coveting what others have or trying to keep up with my neighbor's status consumerism.

I've always had a policy of not begrudging others what they earn. If you can make a good salary, good for you. It's none of my business, unless you expect me to do your work for you or if you otherwise steal from me. In either of these cases, I will be straight up your ass.

Every workday I drive through one of the wealthiest communities in america to get to work. The cheapest homes sell for six figures and every car is a Lexus or Mercedes and such. Many of these cars have Obama bumper stickers (who would put a bumper sticker on a Mercedes anyway?). I find it amusing that these wealthy hope-and-changers are about to get fleeced by their man.

It has to be tough living in a gated community with restrictive covenants and the absolute need to keep up with your neighbors. I can't imagine the financial requirements for shrubs, yard care, club memberships and all the trappings that come with living in these neighborhoods. If the democrats bolsheviks pass their health care legislation, these folks will have less cash to pay the mexican yard care crew and trade in the Mercedes every year. These elites are going to be buying health care for Juan and probably Leshika too.

So I giggle when I see a yuppie with a Obama sticker on her Lexus. She has far to fall when the tax bills come due. It must be embarrassing as hell to let the golf club membership expire, have the community association call to complain about the condition of the yard or have to bring your lunch to work. Our elites wanted class warfare, now they're gonna get it. Pay up sucker.

I fear for my Grandsons

Spring comes to the bruig this afternoon and I should be feeling the rebirth of the season. Instead a gloom still haunts me. The land is heaving to bring forth the seeds of life yet the people on the land are in turmoil, with many wishing to loot their neighbors just to get through another year.

I spoke with my unemployed brother at length last night about his pending inheritance. He interviewed for a job at two different companies last week. He s qualified for both jobs and should get an offer. Both jobs are an hour away and he needs a better vehicle to get to work. Since he is broke, he wants money for a truck. He wants cash now and doesn't understand why he must wait for the estate to close.

Our mother scrimped and saved for decades, putting money away for her and our future. In effect, she planted seeds so that there might be plenty in the future. My brother wants to get and spend all of his inheritance right now. It will all be gone in just a few days. Effectively, he wants to eat the seeds.

My brother told me that since he has no children, no wife, no heirs that there is no future. Only today. Why should he save? He just needs to get through his troubles today. He is like the democrats running our country, who want to spend it all today because there is no future. Do they do this because they have no wife or children or heirs?

Generations of Americans who lived perilous lives still managed to build and save for the future. Many in this generation just spend the accumulated wealth, living for today with no regard for the future. I fear for my grandsons.

Census Fun

I took a look at the census questionaire that came in the mail this week and, once again, was disturbed by two of the questions on the form. Why does the government want to know if you believe you are "of Hispanic, Latino or Spanish origin"? Why does the government want to know what race you believe that you are?

How does your answer help the government ensure that you are represented in the House of Representatives? The lawful purpose of the census is to ensure proper representation in Congress. If you answer that Conquistidors once raped an ancestor or that muslims captured your ancestors and sold them at Badagry, Nigeria you only get one representative in Congress. So these ethnic and race questions are unlawful.

How can the government know if your ethnicity and racial question answers are truthful? I can claim to be a Columbian negro if I choose. Or some other race. How do children of inter-racial parents list themselves? Check "other" and write "mutt" in the provided space? What a load of subjective crap.

The only purpose that I can see for these ethnic/race questions is for the government to redistribute wealth from one ethnicity or race to another. The Constitution never called for this practice. So it is unlawful. Since the government is engaging in unlawful activity then one must assume that the government is unlawful.

Get creative with questions 8 and 9...I am.

Slippery Sliding

A family of four, making a measley $66150 will pay higher taxes under the democrats health care package according to a republican on the House Ways and Means committee. Nice. Grandma and I are gonna get scalped by the IRS since we're only a family of two. Looks like we been lied to by the socialists communists.

The bolsheviks will pass this legislation Sunday and we will all become critters in the Animal Farm. Next up, the congress is gonna give us some new neighbors to spend some of those health care tax receipts. Yep. Ain't nothing special about being American under the bolsheviks. Deem and Pass Could Spell the End of the Republic

The democrats are preparing to do an end run around the Constitution to pass their health care legislation. These tyrants have decided that it doesn't matter what the American public wants, they know what we need and are going to give it to us whether we like it or not. These congress critters apparently believe that they will not be held accountable to the voters in the next election if they don't vote on the reconciliation bill. They think that they can say "I did not vote for the legislation" and voters will excuse them of responsibility for passing this legislation that effectively turns America into a dictatorship. Why aren't these legislators afraid of American voters? Will there even be an election this Fall?

The only way that this legislation can provide health care to the uninsured is if taxpayers are forced by the government to pay for it. Each taxpayer will get another person to provide insurance for, without any deduction or benefit. Each insured taxpayer will pay higher insurance costs, higher medical bills and more out of pocket expenses to take care of someone they don't even know. Yes, this is redistribution of wealth.

If passed, this health care legislation will be the largest social program in American history, dwarfing social security and Medicare. The unfunded entitlement will be a black hole that sucks all wealth into health care while giving government absolute control of your body under the guise of controlling cost. The democrats intend to confiscate your wages without due process of law. This is unconstitutional. Let me be clear, if the democrats pull this stunt off and remain in office beyond the next election, our Republic is over.

Where Am I Heading?

Where is mankind headed? Where am I headed? What is important after living 3/4 of a human lifetime? What am I going to do with the last quarter of my life? What will I leave behind when my spirit goes back to God? These questions are interwoven in my waking thoughts when I am alone.

Work and creation have defined the last 40 years of my life. As an engineer I have created processes to create products that I hoped would improve man's lot and provide a good living for my family. On the side I learned much about human nature and tried to understand more by studying the history of mankind.

I have watched my creations, the dreams I nurtured into processes and products for decades, become commodities for foreigners to build. Weeds grow in the parking lots of buildings where I once created technological wonders that brought wealth to the place where I lived and worked. Now the community crumbles around me, yards unkept, vacant buildings, idle youth sexting one another while using drugs to escape this dreary life. The technology that I helped create is used for the most base human desires.

Perhaps it is normal that hope in this life fades and dies as we grow old. It is awful to know that everything that you worked so hard to build is crumbling around you. To know that your hard-learned wisdom falls on deaf ears and dead eyes. That your daughters have the babies of soul-less dirt bags and that you will be the only human who ever truly loves or cares for them.

So I just plod along. I mow the grass, take out the garbage, pay the bills, fix the broken thing, give the advice knowing it is all for naught. I know that I am not in charge. I never was. God was always the director and I but a prop in His passion play.

I must be the man in my family's life; Husband, father and grandfather. That is the purpose that I must devote the rest of my life to. I must try to create men of honor and principle of my grandsons even as the world works to debauch them every second of every day. My reward is the little gifts that God sprinkles throughout His world. The smile at my whimsy, the soft touch of my wife, the puppy, the boy learns a thing and the smoky fire when everyone is safely home on a cold, snowy winter's evening.

This is where I'm heading and these are what I'll leave behind when I'm gone. Mankind and everything else is just crumbling bits and pieces that belong to God. I am only responsible for my duty to my family. I have always and will always do my duty by the grace of God.

Women! These mysterious creatures have distracted me my entire life. But not in the sordid way. Instead it is the little things that they do that draws me to them and makes life bearable. The furtive glance, the smiling eyes or the bare, turned neck with wisps of soft hair brushing skin. The soft touch, the little-too-long eye contact, the control of our eyes by the movement of their eyes. The small banter, the emotional intimacy with these angels on earth. They make us strong by making themselves vulnerable in a million different ways. Then we make oursleves vulnerable by surrendering ourselves to their strengths. They make us want to bring them gifts, big and small. A flower, a piece of candy, a diamond, our life. Thank you God for this precious gift.

US Manned Spaceflight Program Dead

This year the final shuttle mission will end US manned space flight. Thereafter, the only way for Americans to get into space will be aboard the Russian Soyuz capsule or via some undefined privately owned vehicle. Obowma has killed the US manned spaceflight program Constellation and has canceled the American plan to go back tho the moon. At this time the last mission, STS-134 will launch July 29.

The end of the US manned spaceflight program marks the passage of America as a great power.

Clearing AR-15 Cartridge Jams

I have experienced two action jams on my AR-15 in the past two years. In both cases I could neither forward assist to seat the cartridge nor use the charge handle to clear the jam. And in both cases I could not safe the firearm.

I pointed the firearm downrange and removed the upper receiver then whacked the charge handle of the upper receiver on the bench rest sharply. This drove the cartridge into the chamber and released the charge handle, bolt assembly with cartridge, which dropped on the bench rest.

Inspection of the cartridges revealed that in both cases the problem was due to missing/loose cartridge primers as all cartridge dimensions were found to be nominal to specification except the over sized primer pocket. In the first case the mangled primer was embedded in the firing pin recess hole. I removed the remains of the primer with various picks until I could dissemble the bolt for cleaning and inspection. No damage was noted. In the second case, the loose primer was found in the magazine. I cleaned and inspected the bolt, finding no damage.

Both of these cartridges were my reloads that had been reloaded many times. I had noted "soft" primer seats when reloading Lake City brass with CCI  #41 primers but had loaded these cartridges anyway. Henceforth I will challenge any cartridge that exhibits a "soft" primer seat. If the primer drops out, the cartridge goes to metal recycling.

Last night the wife and I enjoyed a rare evening without grandchildren in the bruig. She was creating a craft card and we talked about the day and a hundred little things. Although I rarely watch the wasteland of televison, last night I scanned the channels and found the History Channel documentary "The Day After". This show discusses a terrorist nuclear attack on Washington DC and the aftermath. A few years ago this scenario would have shocked and angered me. Now I just shrug and wonder if we might be better off without a central government that works to harm my family.

This morning I awoke and stumbled to the kitchen for coffee then went to the shop for a cigarette. My thoughts drifted to a conversation with my brother yesterday where he confided that he was afraid that he would never work again. He was a commercial construction estimator for 30 years and there is zero work in the land of the bruig. Who caused this disaster?

Leftists claim that greedy capitalists are responsible for this economic depression. Conservatives blame the financial meltdown on socialist government policies. Some believe that evil conspirators gamed the financial system for wealth and power. While others think that we just innocently went too far, too fast wanting everyone to share the good life. Maybe it's all of the above. I don't know.

All I know, is that for a generation my brother and I got up every day, went to work, did our best, paid our taxes, obeyed the law and lived modest lives. One day we got up and went to work only to be told that there was no more work. I was lucky and found work paying 60% of what I made before and my brother can't find any work at any wage. We both feel betrayed. Who did this to us? Why? How could this happen?

Once I was proud to be an American and could be counted on to stand with my fellow citizens in time of peril. I believed that my government would never intentionally harm me or my family. Now I have a government that won't listen to me, is actively trying to harm my family and considers me a threat. Would a sane man care if people trying to harm his family experienced some heat and pressure?

The Cultural String

As I have gotten older I have become more in touch with myself as I have taken the information I have learned studying history and applying it to my own life. Much of what I have learned only confirmed what I believed as a young man. Some of what I have learned is startling and quite odd.

I've always known what I like, what is natural to me and what is foreign. My musical tastes, my preference for women, my social mores. The comfort of a smokey hardwood fire. My preferences are strong, natural and comforting. It feels like home.
I also know what is foreign and what I strongly dislike. My inquisitiveness draws me to explore some of these foreign concepts and things but in the end I usually reject the discoveries as unnatural for me.

I believe that there are invisible cultural strings that bind us to the culture of our dominant forebears. These strings aren't neccessarily taught, since as in my case, my parents weren't even aware of many of these cultural tendencies. The melting pot of American culture doesn't teach these cultural tendencies. And genetic code can't account for these strings. So it must be something else.

I'll cite my situation as example. My father was born from an Anglo-Irish line but was raised as an American. My mother was born from a German line and raised as an American. I have Anglo-Irish-German blood. My father never claimed to have Irish blood but his humor and fighting spirit that defined him was clearly Irish. Of his eight brothers, only two showed the Irish cultural tendencies that came from his Irish grandparents.

I was raised never knowing I had Irish blood, but as I studied Irish history and culture I felt a great bond with these people. Something was there. When I studied Anglo and German culture, I felt nothing. It was dead to me. So where did this cultural preference come from?

After researching my family's geneology, I learned the origins of my forebears. Most of my forebears could not care less about where they came from. They became Americans and forgot the past.

How and why do black Americans, ripped from there African tribal culture, raised as slaves, freed and educated in Anglo America learn how to adopt African tribal culture generations later? Women in tribal Africa
mated with multiple males to ensure their place in the tribe. Which is what we see everywhere in America. How was this cultural behavior learned? Where is this cultural behavior taught?

There are many beautiful brown, yellow and black skinned women in this world. They have never appealed to me and I certainly never wanted to have children with these women. It just seemed wrong. African, Indian, Chinese, Jewish, Arabic and even German music is either dead or grating to my soul. I have a strong preference for clasarch, fiddle and bodran music. These preferences can't really be taught.

Somehow an Irish cultural string attaches me to my Irish forebears. I don't understand it but I know it exists. Could we be reincarnated souls from a cultural pool? Or does God pick our souls from tribes that He created in the Beginning? I don't pretend to understand. But I do observe. Something is there.

Judge and Dope Addict

I could never address this prick as "your honor". Who would have ever thought that a drug addict could be elected as a state district judge, especially in Texas? Check out the tattoos on this classy, democrat judge from Houston. And he's smart too! He thinks the death penalty is unconstitutional and is far more concerned about criminals rights than justice or victim's rights. But why should we be surprised? The judge was a criminal hisself for most of his adult life.

Smart America! Elect criminals as judges. That should make America safer.

Children Throw Temper Tantrum When Allowance Cut

What a headline! Students riot when faced with reduced educational aid and increased fees because government is bankrupt. Apparently these supposedly "smart kids" who are able to get accepted by a college are unable to comprehend that the US economy is in a depression. Each one of these entitled little despots have been told they are special throughout their life, so they think they deserve an exemption from reality to go to school.

These little, socialist monsters are going to get what they deserve though in the end. By the time they are 30 the US government will be paying one trillion dollars a year in interest alone. Inflation will cancel any growth in the US economy thus these brats will be paying more than half their income in taxes. Enjoy your socialist utopia kids!

The most disturbing part of this story however is all the god damned brown-skinned Marxists parading around in red shirts with their fists raised in the air demanding their rights. What freaking rights, you sons of wetbacks that invaded my country? Go home if you want to create a racist commune. I don't give one shit about your rights and demands.

It's time to write a new declaration of independence

Apparently Harvard wants to finish off the US economy with $7 a gallon gas. Yeah, that would pretty much do the trick on top of the huge tax and health care cost increases that are coming. I'd be paying $750 per month for gasoline to commute to work. Just to fight imaginary global warming redistribute wealth to the politically correct classes.
