Only Caracas Venezuela has a higher murder rate at 130 per 100,000. Recently an 11 year old boy wandered the street with a Molotov cocktail and an 88 year old man was beaten by gangsta niggas.

Thank God that the King of Chicago, the elite, progressive mayor/ballerina Rahm Emmanuel, is on the job. Like Hugo Chavez, he'll clean up the city.

In other news, DOE and GM have created the Green oasis of Pecan Street planned (and federally subsidized) community. Hundreds of wealthy (and taxpayer subsidized) elites will live in a green utopia where they'll live happily forever. All that's missing is the metrosexual mayor.

Meanwhile, the DNC is adding gay marriage to their platform. Scalia's Menacing, Frightening Weapons

Conservative justice Scalia claims that local legislatures can regulate "menacing" hand held weapons as well as "locational limitations on where weapons could be carried". He went on to claim "there were legal precedents from the days of the Founding Fathers that banned frightening weapons." Frightening weapons? Machetes? Bull whips? The fists of a gangsta nigga? An HIV infected needle? WTF is a frightening weapon?

I don't know which Founding Fathers that Scalia is talking about. In modern police state america, it seems that everything can be regulated except criminal behavior and punishment. Now words, and even ideas, are banned as "frightening weapons" by by power hungry legislators. Where does it end? So far beyond the ideas of the Founding Fathers and limited government of, by and for the people that it has disappeared.

DHS has ordered body armor and 450 million rounds of 40 caliber hollow point bullets to use on americans. The military can only use ball ammunition on enemies. Isn't it a violation of the Hague Convention to use hollow point (expanding) ammo against enemies? Apparently, DHS wants to kill it's enemies rather than just wound them. I consider hollow point bullets to be "frightening weapons".

Just enforce the existing laws on the books and punish criminals instead of creating new laws that criminals routinely ignore. When DHS is not here, we need a "menacing handheld weapon", a "frightening weapon" to keep the thugs at bay. Tu capisci?

Ball Washer

A Portland psycho decided to use a park drinking fountain to drop his drawers and wash his genitals with kids ten feet away. Jamie Todd Hensler. What a piece of work. Maybe Jamie incited Tatu to hang himself out of shame for a fellow primate.

Coming Disaster

Grant Williams thinks that "wandering over the Fiscal Cliff will be catastrophic" taking 4-5% off GDP. He believes that it's already affecting businesses, causing a slowdown. If the US walks off the cliff, as many Democrats hope, in a recession, then catastrophic seems a weak description. US GDP is already running at about 1.5% so ending all the tax cuts while starting sequestration means disaster.

The US Loses the War on Poverty

The US lost the war on poverty during the iDepression. And Bernanke's gun is jammed. He has nothing left to fire. Unemployment is up, poverty is up and the recession is on as retail sales fall. Of course Obama and BLS will lie about the picture to get re-elected. And idiot americans will fall for it hook line and sinker.

Dust Bowl Depression Days

My part of the world is just a dessicated, cooked wasteland at this time. The grass is mostly brown, even the daily watered garden struggles, the crops are failing and the trees are shedding leaves like in the Fall. We are in a seemingly endless extreme drought and Ag experts say that the corn crop is beyond help from any rain that we might receive.

NWS says we have a 30% chance of rain today. But that's as likely as the any effects from the CME  last week. The event is an enormous dud so far. We've had 5 inches of rain so far this growing season where we should have 13 inches by the end of July. Much of the rain has been trace amounts that provide little benefit unlike soaking rains.

A big deer visited a neighbor and our garden Thursday night where he nibbled at a few things and gobbled up 2/3 of our large, green tomatoes. I don't mind a little foraging but the greedy bastard significantly harmed our already marginal gardens. We won't be eating many tomatoes this summer.

It's demoralizing to plant a garden, tend and water it every day and then have little to no development. Radishes, lettuce and onions have produced little edible vegetables. I'm tossing in the towel on them until the Fall. If we don't get any rain and continue with desert like conditions I may be done for the year.

Even the birds are acting odd. They aren't eating seed and aren't hanging about the yard singing as usual the last week or so. Very odd.

It seems like we're back in Dust Bowl Depression days.

Buffett can be bullish on america, I'm bullshit on the place as Obama will borrow another $6T over the next four years. So we'll have over $17T in debt by 2016.

After a 10 year pause the Russians have resumed nuclear bomber and submarine patrols off of the US coasts. The Russians are spending more money on defense as Putin is unhappy about missile defense system deployment by the US in Europe. Russia wants Europe to be wide open for Iranian missile strikes. In fact, Russia has never missed an opportunity for intimidation, whether it be terrorism or aiming nuclear tipped missiles at it's foes. We should have let Patton destroy Russia at he end of WW2.

Obama doesn't care about Russian aggression. He see's Putin as a fellow traveler who he will make concessions to after he's re-elected. More disabled than new employees in June

The most important story of the day is that more people went on social security disability than became employed in June. Disability isn't a very good alternative compared to a job. But it's better than nothing in this central planner's disaster.

I've considered disability, not because I want it, but as a last resort. I'll never work again in this economy as I'm just too old and have too many health problems. So 84% of my current wages would just have to work if the company shuts down or I get laid off. I'd take unemployment until I could get disability.

22.5 million workers are just redundant in this economy. No employer wants or needs them ever again. I suspect this will just get worse as the years go by. Only a lucky few will thrive in the new world order.

White Trash has Arrived

Great news in the neighborhood! A white trash family moved in a rental with a couple of teenage daughters that love the dark meat. They're thieves too. They steal wheelbarrows, break into cars and steal perfume. The sluts like staying out all night then crawl in the window in the wee hours of the morning. DHS Worries

DHS worries that those Americans who believe their “way of life” is under attack, people who consider themselves “anti-global”, Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority”and Americans who are “reverent of individual liberty” may be “extreme right-wing” terrorists. Would a DHS that believes these ideas, in fact, be a socialist tyranny? Perhaps fascists?

What about extreme left wing terrorists? Are they a worry? Bill Ayers? Bernadette Dorn? Is DHS paying attention?

Is there a First Amendment? Are ideas protected rights? Or only the politically correct ideas of the ruling junta?
