On December 21, 1988 259 passengers were flying from London to NYC on board PAN AM flight 103 when a bomb tore through the cargo hold that ripped the aircraft in two pieces at 31,000 feet. For 47 harrowing sconds passengers struggled for their next breath until they smashed into the ground at 660 feet per second.

Stop. Hold your breath for 47 seconds and imagine being in that aircraft that was coming apart.

In 2001, Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi was convicted murder in the bombing and sentenced by a Scottish court to 27 years in prison. After a little over 8 years in prison he was released on "humanitarian grounds", because of potential problems with the trial and he was allegedly "dying of cancer". He was released on August 20, 2009 with three months to live. He is still alive. Some suggest that he was released from prison so BP could access Libyan oil.

Obama lied a week ago when he said that all Americans were "surprised, disappointed and angry" to learn of Megrahi's release. He knew and approved according to a letter made public this week. Meanwhile BP has revealed that it lobbied for a prisoner release between the UK and Libya. This week it was announced that BP is planning a deep water exploration off of the Libyan coast.

Occam's razor suggests that BP and the US and UK governments conspired to release a man found guilty of the murder of 260 people to enjoy the benefits derived from petroleum. How immoral is that? The lives of 260 people and the horrific nature of their deaths is of little or no value to the monsters that run our world.

Mercifully, the victims of the Lockerbie bombing are in God's hands. They say that you can know a man by the company he keeps. Megrahi, Obama, Hayward and Cameron and their minnions have embraced satan and will suffer.

Obama: Lord of the Flies

WTF is up with Obama, flies and rodents? Do the insects and rats detect the smell of death? Google Obama lord of flies and there are 110,000 hits. Incredible!

Lame Cherry suggested that Michelle hang some sticky, yellow fly traps from his ears. Can't he just flap those big ole elephant ears and shoo dat fly away? Sheesh.

Cherry also wonders if Obama is considering eating that fly like a frog. He has that look in his eye.

Why didn't he kick some fly ass like the ninja Obama in the video below? Has Obama gone soft?

Couple of Things on Monday Morning

Hanson tears into Obama again pretty good listing the straws that broke america's back. I agree with most of the deficiencies that he cites. But as a commenter remarks, Obama is but a detail in this disaster in governance. The Congress is the entity that passed all of those extra-Constitutional bills that are realigning wealth and power in america. Obama couldn't enact this destruction of america without a complicit Congress. Then we have federal, state and local bureacracies that will enforce all of this without question. These bureacracies are mostly democrat and feed at the trough of tax and spend by nanny government. All of this is possible because of an ignorant, lazy, spoiled electorate that wants governemnt to "fix" everything so they can eat Ho-Hos and watch reality TV.

The rot is deep in america.

For 190 years america has been the number 1 manufacturer of the world, creating wealth while building the stuff that consumers want. China is on track to take the lead in 2011. The wealth generated by manufacturing created a robust society with a middle class lifestyle and enabled freedoms unimaginable to most people. What is a post-manufactuing america going to look like? Can america create wealth shuffling papers and selling Chinese manufactured goods?

For three generations me and my ancestors have manufactured goods that provided a decnet living for our families. There won't be another generation in my line that manufactures stuff. It is the end of the line. And I suspect it is the end of the line for america. We're on track now to become the pitiful UK.
