Stick a Fork in it...The GOP is done as a National Party

The Republican Party is finished as a national party. That's not to mean that traditional areas won't continue to elect Governors, Congressmen and Senators. But a Republican will never be elected President again. There could be something nominally claiming it is a Republican but in reality, it will be something like a Tory or maybe a Christian Democrat in Europe. The Democrats have an infinite lock on the Electoral College in perpetuity.

As the country gets more colorful and poorer the culture is changing. The 47% that want to be taken care of by government will grow to 50 then 60 percent. As more and more females can't develop a lifetime relationship with a man they look to government to be their man. The colorful, females and the poor will increasingly move to megalopolis where they will vote for democrats.
