Police State

Police in Aurora Colorado received a tip that a bank robbery had occurred and the suspect could be located at a given intersection. So they corralled all the cars there, handcuffed and detained everybody at the intersection. Nineteen cars were stopped and searched while the passengers were detained for up to 2 hours.

Aurora police said "It’s hard to say what normal is in a situation like this when you haven’t dealt with a situation like this,” Fania said. “The result of the whole ordeal is that it paid off. We have arrested and charged a suspect.”

I'll tell you what is normal, and detaining 19 car occupants in handcuffs for two hours isn't normal. See, we have a thing called a Constitution here in america. Police aren't allowed to go on fishing expeditions. It's called probable cause. The cops could have searched cars but handcuffing citizens is over the top.

This event could have turned into a tragedy if the bandit had started shooting at handcuffed innocents. The police only care about their safety these days. These unionized morons couldn't care less about the rights of citizens.
