Scheisse

Wretchard wrote that Obama has followed his narrative on the margins thus is incapable of moving to the center to rally his countrymen. He wrote "The attachment to country, the binding force of the American identity, a faith in the future" may fail as the leadership stumbles about on the margins.

The country is facing a possible multitude of challenges, any one of which could lead to existential crisis. Where is "the center" in america? I don't know anymore. Is it the looting of assets by crony capitalists? Is it socialism or communism? Is it queer marriage? Mobs of gangsta niggas beating whites? Is it the prick in the Lexus cutting off a dozen other drivers to get ahead of everyone else?

What future is there anymore for the common guy? Unemployment, no raises, no income forever is the future. How does this act as any kind of "binding force of the american identity"? How does any of this sustain any "attachment to country"? Is there a "center" anymore? It may be held by OWS communists and hoodie wearing mobs waiting to beat those who show up.

I'm not rushing to this imaginary "center" with it's imaginary attachment to country, imaginary identity and imaginary future. I'll stay at "home" with it's safety of proven values. I'm unattached to the sewer with it's me first identity and it's dead future.
