Week and a Day

A week and a day until Samhuin. Most of the maple tree leaves are still colorful and on the trees. A cool and wet week ahead but a lonely cicada still  chirps his mating call tonight.  I've stowed the summer, stocked the winter firewood and await the leaf fall to come. The natural world will die in a week and a day only to be reborn in eight weeks on the Solstice.
