Shop like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't a tomorrow
The global financial crisis continues to swirl around the world. First in the US, then China now the EU. Round and round it goes. Action, reaction. Then the cycle starts anew. The more our economic experts do the less confidence we have in their actions, or the unlying stories they weave.
In the US, Obama travelled to Kokomo, Indiana to tout the success of his auto manufacturer bailouts. Some success! About 2000 jobs lost at Delphi alone, unemployment still at 13%, nine firefighters back to work and new sidewalks downtown. This is typical of the "good economic news" in this depression. Lies and distortion is all the leadership has to show for their efforts.
Meanwhile in the West, shoppers are trampling each other to death to buy discounted gifts to celebrate Lord Jesus' birth. Everyone has to get that special something for that special someone before the global economy goes off the cliff into the abyss. Black Friday sales are estimated to have improved a whopping 0.3% from last year as shoppers are broke.
Americans will see the economy spiral downward come January when their medical monthly payroll deductions double and the Bush tax cuts expire. Many of those just barely hanging on will fall over the cliff into financial oblivion. So shop like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't a tomorrow.
