Global Oligarchs Shell ROK
The real story about North Korea is not that they shelled South Korea or that they are continuing to develop nuclear weapons. The real story is how the West, especially the US, have abrogated their position as guaranteeor of civility and peace in the world. Other than outrage, the US really has nothing to say and even less that it is willing to do about nations that undermine civility.
Witness how DPRK, Iran and Pakistan have engaged in aggressive behaviors while openly developing nuclear weapons for the past couple decades. The West has done nothing but talk, sending the message that there are no bad consequences for bad actions. Pakistan and DPRK have discovered that their bad actions yield lucrative extortion income from the indecisive West.
The lesson to be learned from the DPRK's most recent event is that the US is powerless to effect any change in these types of matters. The US will deploy the Washington carrier group for exercises with ROK, in a show of solidarity. But no one believes that the US would go to war to defend the peninsula. There is no will.
The other lesson is that China has no problem with their DPRK pit-bull growling and occaisionally biting a neighbor. It has utility to contrast China as a good dog versus the DPRK bad dog. In reality, China owns the DPRK's actions as if they were China's actions.
Clearly China prefers to use economic power to force their way to the center of the global stage but they are willing to use proxies to terrorize the world into compliance if necessary. Russia uses Iran and muslim terrorist groups for the same purpose.
It didn't have to be this way. The West, especially the US, allowed this to happen through greed, arrogance and weakness. The Chinese, Russians and others have always been what they are. They never changed. It is the West that changed, thinking it could have a global market, was smarter than everyone else and being unwilling to use force of arms to get it's way.
And who led the citizens of the West to these failed ideas but the global oligarchs and their inhuman multinational corporations that crave absolute power. China uses slave labor to power their economy so when GM and other multinational corporations set up operations in China they are using slave labor to make their products. The oligarchs who decide these things have no interest in the common man, except as slaves to be exploited.
In effect, global multinational corporations and the oligarchs that control them shelled ROK and prevent citizen controlled governments from stopping the madness.
The citizens of the West, especially the US, let the global elite's evil sickness for power pervert the world order until we have thug nations like China and Russia using proxies such as DPRK, Pakistan, Iran, et al terrorizing the world into submission. We are at a junction of history, either the citizns of the West smash the global oligarchs or submit to slavery.
