No Paul, you don't have much time. And not a lot of chance either. The incumbent demon and his media shills will try anything, be it illegal or immoral to win.
I suspect that the US economy will be in the midst of a slow motion train wreck by election day no matter who wins. And it will get worse as the fiscal cliff approaches then global recession kicks in. Romney and Ryan are promising 12 million new jobs. Good luck. That will take time and all the luck they can muster.
In any event, my time is running out. I won't survive this time around. All of us 60 something guys know that we'll never work again. Whether we're ready to retire or not, we'll get set out with the trash this time around.
But maybe the kids will at least have a chance at a future.
