A lot of misery in this country

Independence Day fireworks were shutdown because of the burn ban in state. With temperatures in the 90s last week and next the state is in an extreme drought. Corn is pollinating now so this is an important phase that will determine yield. The rains we received yesterday and today will help. But we're still almost 4 inches short in this growing season.

It's fitting that the Independence Day holiday is impaired, freedom was destroyed by Obamacare. Now the government can tell us what we must buy and how to live our lives. The constitution is dying and Obama will finish it off in his next term. We're just another socialist state on the way to communist tyranny.

Flags, fireworks and patriotism are just so yesterday for me. Almost ancient history. I respect the past but my countrymen are mostly socialists only interested in themselves and what goodies they can amass for themselves. Freedom is dead and I don't care to celebrate what was.

Drought? There's a lot of misery in this country these days.
