There Will Be Suffering

Britain has discovered that it cannot generate the revenue to provide national health care as Western economies spiral down to reality. The truth of the matter is that the West never could afford the health care technology that has been developed over the last couple of decades. Nor many other technologies.

I suppose we all believe that we are entitled to the best of medical care (and the best of everything) but are we really? With a world population of 6.9 billion people how do we calculate the value of an individual? Who calculates the value and what are the variables? How do we distribute the ever dwindling resources in an overpopulated world?

The truth is that we can't and won't calculate and none of us will like it if we do. Just as it was with the first humans, the smartest, strongest and aggressive will get the first choice of food, place by the fire and breeding rights. We've tried to level the playing field but the stupid, weak and timid now know what is available thanks to television and the internet. They want equal resources but can't (or won't) do the things required to obtain them. But that doesn't stop their wanting.

We are all born with the skills that Fate gives us. All we can do is make the best of them and take good counsel when it comes. Be thankful when Fortune throws us a bone and try not to do harm to ourselves. It is ridiculous to expect others to look after us. Socialism will never work as it opposes human nature.

Britain will ration health care and we will too. It has always been so and always will. Why we even trust the pandering words of a Obama, Reid or Pelosi is beyond my comprehension. But the stupid, weak and timid will believe the cruel lies. Our elites will have the best medical care available while everyone else will either pay or suffer equally rationed poor care. That is the truth.

There will be suffering.
